DESCRIPTION
Christian Amato is a New York based director and producer. He is the Founding Artistic Director of The Theatre Project, which the West Villager has acclaimed as an "Company to watch," as well as the Media Director at The Historic Players Theatre. Regionally, he has directed Dog Sees God, Reefer Madness, HAIR!, The Dining Room, and Ajax. Off-Broadway Christian re-adapted and directed Sarah Kane's final play, 4.48 Psychosis. Other Off-Broadway credits include Play Date, Universal Monsters, and B*tch, reviewed by Downtown Magazine as "A great success!" He directed the world premiere production of the new musical Alice In Wonderland, nominated for an Off-Broadway Alliance Award for "Best Family Show." Recent credits include the world premieres of Tico Tales, Non-Equity The Musical in FringeNYC and Barbicide at The Players Theatre, as well as Cold Reads in The Players Loft.
