PREPARATION: CPWI 218 “From All That Dwell Below The Skies”

Isaac Watts 91674-1748)

From all that dwell below the skies, Let the Creator's praise arise; alleluia, alleluia. Let the Redeemer's name be sung Through every land by every tongue. alleluia… Eternal are thy mercies Lord; Eternal truth attends thy word; alleluia, alleluia. Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore Till suns shall rise and set no more.

alleluia... Organ Voluntary~ Crucifer, Choir, Servers and Clergy process INTROIT: CPWI 388 “Stand Up, And Bless The Lord.” James Montgomery (1771-1854)

Stand up, and bless the Lord, ye people of His choice; stand up, and bless the Lord your God with heart, and soul, and voice.

Though high above all praise, above all blessing high, who would not fear His holy Name, and laud and magnify?

O for the living flame, from His own altar brought, to touch our lips, our mind inspire, and wing to heaven our thought!

God is our strength and song, and His salvation ours; then be His love in Christ proclaimed with all our ransomed powers.

Stand up and bless the Lord, the Lord your God adore; stand up, and bless His glorious Name henceforth for evermore.

PRESIDENT: God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:24 PRESIDENT: Blessed be God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Alleluia! Alleluia! ALL: And blessed be His Kingdom, now and forever. Amen. Alleluia! Alleluia! THE KYRIES Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy, Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy, Lord. COLLECT OF THE DAY: O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

THE LITURGY OF THE WORD THE FIRST LESSON: 2 Samuel 6:1-5, 12b-19 Bro. Lloyd Marriott - Men’s Fellowship

Psalm 24 Bro. David Hunter - Men’s Fellowship 1. The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, *the world and all who dwell therein. 2. For it is he who founded it upon the seas *and made it firm upon the rivers of the deep.

3. "Who can ascend the hill of the Lord? " *and who can stand in his holy place?" 4. "Those who have clean hands and a pure heart, *who have not pledged themselves to falsehood, nor sworn by what is a fraud. 5. They shall receive a blessing from the Lord *and a just reward from the God of their salvation." 6. Such is the generation of those who seek him, *of those who seek your face, O God of Jacob. 7. Lift up your heads, O gates; lift them high, O everlasting doors; *and the King of glory shall come in. 8. "Who is this King of glory?" *"The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle." 9. Lift up your heads, O gates; lift them high, O everlasting doors; *and the King of glory shall come in. 10. "Who is he, this King of glory?" "The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory." Glory to the Father, and to the Son: and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning is now: and shall be forever. Amen THE EPISTLE: Ephesians 1:3-14 Bro. Victor O’Garro - Men’s Fellowship Gradual: CPWI 350 “ There’s A Wideness In God’s Mercy”

Frederick William Faber (1814-1863) There’s a wideness in God’s mercy, Like the wideness of the sea; There’s a kindness in His justice, Which is more than liberty. There is welcome for the sinner, And more graces for the good; There is mercy with the Savior; There is healing in His blood. There is no place where earth’s sorrows Are more felt than up in Heaven; There is no place where earth’s failings Have such kindly judgment given. There is plentiful redemption In the blood that has been shed; There is joy for all the members In the sorrows of the Head.

For the love of God is broader Than the measure of our mind; And the heart of the Eternal Is most wonderfully kind. If our love were but more faithful, we should take him at his word; and our life would be thanksgiving for the goodness of the Lord.

Alle-Alle-Alle-Lu-ia THE HOLY GOSPEL : Mark 6:14-29

Alle-Alle-Alle-Lu-ia ~Reflection ~ Pause in silent meditation.

THE PRAYERS: Bro. Athelston Watts - Men’s Fellowship Blessed are you, Lord God, for you are with us in our journeying and in our resting. You are to be found in our homes and our daily lives. You, Lord, are our hope and our strength: in you we trust. Blessed are you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Lord, make yourself known to us in church and through the Scriptures. May we know you in the breaking of the bread, in the break of day and when our hearts are breaking. Help us to see that you travel with us on the road of life and you never leave us. Fill us with your Spirit, that we may proclaim the Good News and tell others of your love. We remember today all who are suffering because of their faith, those who livein fear and those whose lives are restricted. Silence Lord, walk with us: Stay with us and help us. We remember before you all travellers and those who provide transport. We ask your blessing upon those who feel they are going into the dark and to the end of life. We pray for political prisoners and the work of Amnesty International. We remember all who are captive to doubt, fear or sin. Silence Lord, walk with us: Stay with us and help us. Lord, may we be at home with you in our homes. When our hearts burn within us, may we know that you are near. Help us to know you are with us in all our dealings with others. We remember today all who are lonely or feel rejected and all who feel they are missing out on life.

Silence Lord, walk with us: Stay with us and help us. We pray for all who have lost visions and hope, for all who are struggling with life. We remember the broken-hearted, those suffering from broken relationships all who are broken by illness or trouble, all who can no longer cope on their own. Lord, may they know you in their breaking for you alone can make us whole. Silence Lord, walk with us: Stay with us and help us.

Lord, as in you we are born anew, we remember before you the faithful departed. We rejoice in the fellowship of all your saints. May we share with them and all our loved ones, both here and departed, in the joy and fullness of life eternal. Silence Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen. ACT OF PENITENCE:

PRESIDENT:

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. A period of silence shall be kept. PRESIDENT: Let us therefore confess our sins. ALL: Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbours as ourselves; we have not loved ourselves as we ought. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us, that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your name. Amen

ABSOLUTION:

PRESIDENT: Almighty God, have mercy upon you, pardon and deliver you from all your sins, confirm and strengthen you in all goodness, and keep you in life eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

THE GREETING OF THE PEACE: PRESIDENT: If you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you. All: Leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

PRESIDENT: The peace of the Lord be always with you. ALL: And also with you. WELCOME AND NOTICES

THE LITURGY OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

Offertory: CPWI 521 “Have Thine Own Way Lord” Adelaide Addison Pollard (1862-1934)

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way! Thou art the potter, I am the clay. Mold me and make me after thy will, while I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way! Search me and try me, Master today! Purer than snow, Lord, wash me just now, as in thy presence humbly I bow.

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way! Wounded and weary, help me I pray! Power, all power, surely is thine! Touch me and heal me, Savior divine!

Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way! Hold o'er my being absolute sway. Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see Christ only, always, living in me!

Presentation Hymn: CPWI 621 “Take Our Bread”

Joe Wise (1939-)

Take our bread, We ask you take our hearts, We love you, take our lives, O Father, we are yours, we are yours.

Yours as we stand at the table you set Yours as we eat the bread our hearts can’t forget We are the signs of your life with us yet, We are yours, we are yours. Refrain

THE PRESENTATION OF THE OFFERINGS PRESIDENT & PEOPLE: Father, we offer you these gifts which you have given us: this bread, this wine, this money. With them we offer ourselves, our lives, and our work to become through your Holy Spirit a reasonable, holy and lively sacrifice. As this bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ, so may we and all your people become channels of your love; through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

EUCHARISTIC PRAYER: E

PRESIDENT: The Lord be with you. ALL: And also with you.

PRESIDENT: Lift up your hearts. ALL: We lift them up to the Lord. PRESIDENT: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. ALL: It is right to give God thanks and praise.

PRESIDENT:

It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give you thanks, Father almighty, everlasting God: Through Jesus Christ our Lord; who on the first day of the week overcame death and the grave, and by His glorious resurrection opened to us the way of everlasting life. Therefore we praise you, joining our voices with angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven, who forever sing this hymn to proclaim the glory of your Name: ALL: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of your glory.

Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

PRESIDENT: Sovereign Lord and Father, To you be glory and praise for ever. In your boundless wisdom you brought creation into being: In your great love you fashioned us in your image; In your tender compassion you sent your Son, Jesus Christ, our Saviour, to share our human nature; In the power of the Holy Spirit, He overcame the power of sin and death and brought your people to new birth as first fruits of your new creation. On the night that He was betrayed He took bread, and when he had given thanks to you, He broke it and gave it to his disciples and said: “Take this, and eat it” This is my Body which is given for you, Do this for the remembrance of me”. And after supper he took the cup of wine: and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them and said: “Drink this, all of you: This is my Blood of the new Covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of me.” President: Therefore, Father, according to the command of your dearly beloved Son All We remember His death We proclaim His resurrection We await His coming in glory PRESIDENT: And we offer you, Father, our sacrifice of thanks and praise. Send your Holy Spirit on these gifts of bread and wine that they may become the Body and Blood of your Son, Jesus, our Lord Redeemer.

As we partake of this holy food of new and unending life, may your Holy Spirit establish us as a royal priesthood with the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. George and all your sons and daughters who share in your eternal inheritance; Through Jesus Christ our Lord. With Him and in Him and through Him, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we worship you, Father Almighty, with all who stand before you in earth and heaven in songs of everlasting praise: All: Blessing and honour and glory and power be yours for ever and ever. Amen. THE LORD’S PRAYER: PRESIDENT: As our Saviour has taught us, so we pray:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins

as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation

but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power,

and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

THE BREAKING OF THE BREAD: PRESIDENT: This is the true bread which comes from heaven ALL: Whoever eats this bread will live forever. THE AGNUS DEI: Lamb of God you take away the sin of the World: Have mercy on us. Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world: Have mercy on us. Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world:

Grant us peace.

THE INVITATION: PRESIDENT: The Gifts of God for the People of God. ALL: Our souls will feast and be satisfied, and we will sing glad songs of praise to Him.

HOLY COMMUNION

LEVAS 39 “There Is A Fountain” William Cowper There is a fountain filled with blood Drawn from Immanuel’s veins; And sinners, plunged beneath that flood, Lose all their guilty stains: Lose all their guilty stains, Lose all their guilty stains; And sinners, plunged beneath that flood, Lose all their guilty stains. The dying thief rejoiced to see That fountain in his day; And there may I, though vile as he, Wash all my sins away: Wash all my sins away, Wash all my sins away; And there may I, though vile as he, Wash all my sins away. Thou dying Lamb, thy precious blood Shall never lose its power, Till all the ransomed Church of God Are saved, to sin no more: Are saved, to sin no more, Are saved, to sin no more; Till all the ransomed Church of God, Are saved to sin no more.

E’er since by faith I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply, Redeeming love has been my theme, And shall be till I die: And shall be till I die, And shall be till I die; Redeeming love has been my theme, And shall be till I die. Then in a nobler sweeter song I’ll sing they power to save, When this poor, lisping stammering tongue, Lies silent in the grave; Lies silent in the grave, Lies silent in the grave;

When this poor, lisping stammering tongue, Lies silent in the grave.

Video Presentation ~ “My Tribute”

POST COMMUNION PRAYER: Almighty Father, we thank you for feeding us with the Body and Blood of your Son Jesus Christ. May we who share His Body live His risen life; we who drink His cup bring life to others; we upon whom your Spirit shines give light to the world. Help us to continue in faithful witness to your Word, so we and all your children shall be free, and the whole earth live to praise your Name, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE BLESSING:

RECESSIONAL: CPWI 342 “ Revive Thy Work O Lord” Albert Midlane (1825-1909)

Revive thy work, O Lord, thy mighty arm make bare; speak with the voice that wakes the dead, and make thy people hear.

Revive thy work, O Lord, disturb this sleep of death; quicken the smouldering embers now by thine almighty breath.

Revive thy work, O Lord, create soul-thirst for thee; and hungering for the bread of life O may our spirits be.

Revive thy work, O Lord, exalt thy precious Name; and, by the Holy Ghost, our love, for thee and thine inflame.

Revive thy work, O Lord, and give Pentecostal showers. The glory shall be all thine own; the blessing, Lord, be ours.

Point to Ponder What is the Christian spiritual life? It is a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led, Spirit-empowered life like the one Jesus embodied with every fiber of his being. “Embracing the Journey: The Way of Christ” by Reuben P. Job and Marjorie J. Thompson.
