You are in deep water but it is there that you learn to swim with the sharks. It is in the lions’ den that you find yourself, like Daniel, coming out without a single scratch! You have been through the fire but you carry no burns, no scars, no signs of distress…because you are destined for success.

Dominic James, footballer of St. Georges College, died. How does a team survive the loss of their captain during a tournament? Yet this team had a 4-1 victory in their very first match following Dominic’s death. In an interview at the said game, Dominic’s mother stated: “no matter what else is going on, the game must go on”. No matter what else is going on, still work hard, still keep your head up, still hope for the best – you are destined for success!

Destined for Success

Are you destined for success? If you are on a journey to a specific location, nothing should stop you. John went on a journey. On his way to his destination, there was a road block, there was a storm, he was stopped by the Police, he had a flat tyre, he even ran out of gas but he made it to his destination.

On your journey to success, you will face insurmountable obstacles but you, too can make it to your destination.

Make your way through the obstacles with these strategies:

Make the obstacles work for you, not against you Do not focus on the obstacles, focus on the destination Ignore the most imposing obstacles Find creative ways to remove the obstacles if they cannot be ignored Be persuasive Be persistent Discover the gatekeepers to your destiny

The way to your destination is not always a smooth, straight, predictable path. There are times when you feel like you are going backwards instead of forward. There might be losses, failure, maybe even death. There might be distractions and demotions. There might be mental or physical imprisonment and oppression. Everything competes to get your attention. Everything seems to be destined to stop you. But you are destined to succeed.
