DESCRIPTION

Being injured in a car crash can be devastating, especially when it impacts your ability to work, earn income and support yourself and your family. Some people can’t work at all after a car accident. Others try to return to work and fail, or are able to return to work but only on modified duties and hours. Being injured in a car crash can be devastating, especially when it impacts your ability to work, earn income and support yourself and your family. Some people can’t work at all after a car accident. Others try to return to work and fail, or are able to return to work but only on modified duties and hours. Yet some return to work full-time because they simply have no choice, but are working with great pain every day. What to do? 3. Your employer can’t fire you. It must accommodate your disability except for rare cases.

4. Make sure to provide your employer and auto insurance company with medical reports from your family doctor, clinic or hospital regarding your injuries and ongoing disability.

5. Speak with a lawyer that specialize in personal injury and employment to make sure that you are fully aware of your legal rights with respect to your car accident as well as employment situation.

It doesn’t have to be that way. Your legal rights are an extremely powerful shield which, if used correctly, can protect you and your family.
