Redesign PlanDial Soap has been in business for over 65 years now. The current design is simple and clean, but I am going to improve it by revaluating both their mission and their target audience. I will incorporate these important factors into the design. I will make the design more modern and use different colors so that Dial soap will stand out more on the shelf. The ingredients and other important information will be clear and legible as well as visually appealing.

Dial has made it their mission to deliver high quality, safe, and clean soap to families. They have a variety of different products and scents and their target audience is families in America who value clean hands without a high cost.

To keep American uniforms free of fungus during World War II, Dr. William Gump created a germicidal compound. This compound, dubbed G-11, would become the active ingredient in Dial soap. Once the company was started in 1950, physicians began recommending it to their patients and one decade later became the first soap in space. Creating a label with the eye-catching design that Dial Liquid Soap needs will increase sales because it will stand out to consumers on the shelf. Dial has great advertising so making sure the public is aware of the package redesign will show the public that Dial is determined to stick around by consistently changing and improving their product. Creating advertisements to be shared online will allow the public to see the changes that Dial is making in order to ensure the value and quality not only in this product, but also in the company itself.

Package DesignStyle GuideThe color logo should be used on all packaging and marketing. The black and white logo should rarely be used unless circumstances require it to be used. The logo should be placed 1/2 inch from the top of the front label. It should not exceed 1 inch wide on the front label.
