How it works• We receive requests from local advocates through
national partners, later via Follow the Money website.
• We conduct investment chain mapping and pressure point analysis.
• The information is sent back to the requesters in a form and language that they can understand and we discuss options for engaging identified pressure points.
• FTM partners work with communities to help them understand the findings and in some cases support them to engage actors along the investment chain and pursue new advocacy opportunities.

In Conclusion• Investment chain mapping is not a silver
bullet for ending corporate abuses.• But it can open up a range of smart and
targeted new advocacy opportunities that can pave the path to justice for communities.
• Over the longer term, shining on a light on the backers of harmful investments is the best way to change corporate behavior.
