2. Intertitle researchIntertitles are very important in trailer as it helps to tell or portraythe narrative or plot of the film that is being watched by theaudience. Intertitles were first introduced in Silent Films toemphasise on character dialogue as in them times technologywas not as great as in todays society. Now intertitles are usedthroughout a film trailer to help tell the narrative, introduce thedistribution company, producers or directors of the film and allowthe audience to feel more apart of the film with rhetoricalquestions single words or fraises. Intertitles further help connectthe audience with the trailer/film as its makes the audience thinkand questions, which also help in the genre of horror to buildssuspense. 3. Intertitles used In this particulartrailer begins with the companysproduction logo , the intertitle allowsthe target audience be aware of thecompany the film being producedand made by. This can increaseawareness towards the film assuccessful and popular logos orcompanies would attract theiraudience by this. The first intertitle involves theaudience straight away with thewords There is a place. This isa direct approach to involve thetarget audience to continuewatching more into the trailer tofind out the answer. 4. The name of a well know director isused to help attract the audience ofpeople how know the director or is afan of him.At the end of the trailer thisintertitle is used to say whenthe film will be released, but asthis is a teaser trailer itscoming soonWith technology and softwareadvancing the use of special effectsare used on intertitles to give a moredramatic effect if needed with theintertitle. This just adds more enigmaand suspense towards each intertitleas the narrative is told. 5. Designing IntertitlesBy looking at many trailer and doing extensiveresearch I have come up with my own possibleIntertitles for my teaser trailer. I have to take thegenre of my film and the narrative plot intoconsideration before suggesting them. 6. Typeface designThe design for Intertitles are easy to readand also have a font related to the genreof the film, in this case horror. These font used as Intertitles arebold, simple and impactful. Alsothey are easy to read at any size. Also the font is related back to thegenre of horror which help give aclear indication to the audiencethe genre of the movie. Thesecond font is the perfect exampleof what design you can comeacross in a professional film. Theblood like font shows a genre andthe sub genre of possible slasher. The fonts not selected are examples of whatwouldnt be in a horror genre, as they are to fancyand not to easy to read .
