All lines should be 0.25 or thicker.All type should be 6pt or larger. Fonts must be outlined prior to submission of files.
Outline all text (Type->Create Outlines).Outline all strokes (Object->Path->Outline Stroke).
Most letterpress jobs are kept to 1-2 ink colors. The cost increases drastically with 3 or 4 ink colors.Each color should be on it's own layer.
Specify colors using the Pantone Solid Uncoated color book (CMYK will not be accepted).All artwork must be in vector format with no embedded images.
Save your file as an .ai, editable .pdf, or .epsTurn around time is typically 10-15 business days from artwork approval.
Tips for Preparing Your Design File for Letterpress Printing
Be sure to include crop marks black 1pt. to outline the size of the piece (InDesign or Illustrator)
