College is awarded as Best Engineering College of Maharashtra State

by Engineering Education Foundation , Pune in year 2008-09. The Col-

lege has Ten full fledged Departments. The Under Graduate programs

A response to the exponentially growing market for Information Technology, The Information Tech-nology branch commenced from the Academic Year 2001-2002, for Degree Engineering courses.

The Information Technology Department has got the NBA Accreditation by NBA Committee consti-tuted under AICTE with effect from 19/07/2008, for 5 Years. It is the only Accredited IT Department in NMU, Jalgaon. It is one of the 10 departments of our college, which has emerged into a very sophisticated section in a very small period of time. The major attraction of the department is its well-equipped units with high quality resources and facilities for the students and staff to utilize and at the same time gain and impart knowledge.

WORKSHOP ON CPU ASSEMBLING

Department of Information Technology success-

fully organized 1Day workshop on “CPU ASSEMBLING”

for TE students on 25th August 2013.

This Workshop was beneficial from Practical Knowledge as well as Participating in various Technical Events point of view.

Workshop was successfully conducted by Mr. S. K. Singh, Mr. R. B. Sangore, Mr. H. R.Kotwal and Mr. Sharad Chavan.

WORKSHOP ON PHP

A 4 Days Workshop on PHP was organized for BE and TE IT students on 30th-31st Sept and 5th-6th Oct 2013 in IT Department. Mr. S. A. Chaudhari from Softaid Computer Jalgaon focused on various aspects Web Design and also provided guidance how to de-velop web sites using PHP.

This Workshop was beneficial from academic as well as project Development point of view. Workshop was successfully conducted by Mr. N. P. Jagtap and all the staff of Department.

was organized by department on 10th Aug. 2013.

Group Discussion was arranged for Second, Third

and Final year students. There was an active par-

WORKSHOP ON LaTeX

A 2 Days Workshop on LaTeX was organized for BE and students on 20th and 21st Sept 2013 in CC Lab.

Dr. G. K. Patnaik HOD Computer Engineering Department guided about how to prepare Final Year Projects and Seminar Reports with proper formatting and how to prepare Presentations in Latex. And also explained how LaTeX will save their Time and make their reports accurate and perfect.

SEMINAR ON CLOUD COMPUTING

A Seminar on Cloud Computing was organ-ized by NIIT Jalgaon for all the students of Depart-ment on 7th Sept 2013 in Class Room No. 312.

Mr. Santosh Wakode from NIIT focused on Iaas Paas, Saas in detail and explained how cloud computing plays predominant role in today's cut throat competition. and also provided guidelines how they can use this technology to develop their mini and major Projects as it is part of their academ-ics.

GUEST LECTURE ON LEAD INDIA 2020

A Guest Lecture on Lead India 2020 was or-ganized by Department of IT in collaboration with Electrical Engineering Department on 14th Sept 2013 in IT Seminar Hall.

Prof. S. R. Mahajan from Lead India 2020 moti-vated students to contribute in development of na-tion’s movement to fulfill the vision of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam for becoming India Supreme Power up to 2020.

GUEST LECTURE ON UML DIAGRAMS FOR DESIGN PHASE

A Guest Lecture on UML Diagrams for De-sign phase was conducted for BE students on 15th Oct. 2013 in Class Room No 312.

Mr. S. S. Gharde Assist. Prof. from Com-puter Engineering Department focused on all UML diagrams in Object Oriented Modeling and Designing and also explained their importance in the design phase as well as how these diagrams clears their problem Definition of the Projects.

EXPERT LECTURE ON FEASIBILITY STUDY AND DATA FLOW DIAGRAMS

An Expert Lecture on Feasibility Study and Data Flow Diagrams was organized for BE stu-dents on 14th Oct. 2013.

Mr. P. C. Harne Assist. Prof. from our Department guided about importance of Feasibility Study, how to make project TELOS (Technical, Economical, Legal, Operational, Schedule ) point of view and how to make Feasibility Analysis Matrix (FAM) for their Project Reports.

Mr. B. S. Kalsi Assist. Prof. from our Department guided on Data Flow Diagrams that is es-sential part of Design Phase in Project Report Writing. He explained DFD Level wise (Level-0, Level-1, Level-2) in detail and cleared all doubts regarding drawing DFD accurately.

TEACHERS DAY CUM FRESHERS PARTY

SOFT SKILL TRAINING PROGRAMS

Soft Skill Training Programs were con-

ducted for SE , TE, BE students separately

from 29th July to 4th August 2013 by Tech

Rel, Pune and Impressions Consulting, Mum-

bai.

Total 198 students were actively partici-

pated from the department. This program

was beneficial for students to improve their

skill set while facing the Campus Drive.

Teacher’s Day Celebration and Welcome of

Second Year Students i.e. Fresher's Party was or-

ganized by students for staff and All students on 5th

Sept, 2013. Speeches were given by some of the stu-

dents on the work of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan

for the country as well as for the society , and some

read poems on the teachers.

The Second Year students introduced them-

selves and actively participated in the party by giv-

ing their individual performances. Fresher’s day was a

day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusi-

asm, laughter and happiness.
