Poster Presentation 2013 is the year of Water Cooperation. In a bid to make students understand the concept and
information about Water Cooperation the department organized Poster Presentation entitled ‘Water Cooperation’. It was presented by T.Y. B.A. class. ( Economics Special). The presentation was inaugurated by Prin. Dr. E.M. Khan. About 17 charts were presented related with information about the concept of Water Cooperation and related issues at Nationla as well as international level.

WORKSHOP ON QUANTITATIVE TECHNIQUES FOR ECONOMICS. The workshop entitled ‘Quantitative Techniques fro Economics’ was organized from 10th -12th
December 2013. The seminar was attended by 24 students from the department of Economics T.Y.
B.A.students opted for Economics (Special).
The objectives of the seminar were-
To develop capabilities of students to know concepts and operations in Mathematics and
Statistics To acquaint students with the application of Mathematics and Statistics to the study of
Economic Theories.
The programme started with recitation of verses from Holy Quran. Telawatt- E –Quran was done by Ms Shabnam, a student from T.Y. B.A.

QUIZONOMICS Quiz Competition named QUIZONOMICS was organized by department for the students of
arts and commerce on12th March 2014. It was written quiz competition. The quiz contents were
multiple choice questions based on syllabus and Indian economy, capital market, banking, public
finance, international happenings etc.
About 76 students participated in the quiz.

SYLLABUS RESTRUCTURING WORKSHOP FOR S.Y. B.A. ECONOMICS
The workshop on Syllabus Restructuring for S.Y.B.A. Economics was organized by the
department in coordination with the Board of Studies University of Pune on Saturday 15th march 2014.

The chief guest of the inaugural function of the programme was Dr. Gautam Bhong, Dean,
Mental, Moral Social Sciences, University of Pune.. He spoke about the changes taking place in
higher education at global level and need to get at par that level. It is need of the time to revise the
syllabus for the same and thus these type of workshops are needed to get the suggestions from the
professors teaching in the field.
