Action on Faculty and Staff who were Absent on the Day of Inspection of Kolar College
The Principal and 6 Faculty who were absent on the day
of inspection by the Honourable Lokayukta in
Government First Grade College, Kolar have been
transferred.
Enquiry is instituted, as per CCA rule 11 and 12, on 45
faculty working in Government First Grade College,
Kolar.
Retired District and Sessions Judge Shree A. L. Poojaar
is appointed as officer for enquiry on the Principal.

To Implement Biometric Attendance System in all colleges
Biometric Attendance System was already implemented in 31
Government Colleges and in Head office.
Installation of unique and reliable GSM/ SIM based Face and
Finger Identification Attendance Monitoring Systems involving
push message technology for staff in the remaining 331
Colleges and Regional Joint Director office has been initiated.
Installation is completed in 190 Colleges and 3 Regional offices.
Installation at the remaining Colleges and Regional offices is in
progress and Installation is expected to be completed by 15th
July, 2014.

Regular Inspections of Colleges by Officers to Improve Administration
Colleges have been inspected Regularly
• 171 Colleges have been inspected so far
Directions to take corrective measures have been issued to
College Principals based on the inspection reports
Meetings with Officers and Principals are conducted in
addition to regular Interaction with college staff through
EDUSAT satellite channel

To Identify Academically Weaker Students and Provide Special Coaching
College Principals have been instructed to conduct Special
Classes for the Students of Economically and Socially Weaker
Sections.
Special coaching/ remedial classes are being conducted for
SC/ST, minority and socio-economically backward Students in
55 Colleges with the support of UGC special grants.
327 Colleges are installed with EDUSAT program receiving
facilities to make use of Educational programs telecasted
regularly through EDUSAT satellite. Spoken English and
Computer Fundamental classes have been telecasted regularly.

Monitoring of Classes Conducted at Colleges on Daily Basis
Web-based Online Educational Management Information
System (eMIS), with Class Work Management module and
integrated SMS facility has been developed is being used to
Capture Information from Colleges.
eMIS comprises of the Following Modules
• Student Admissions and Results - Course wise from all
colleges
• Faculty Work load and their personal class Time Table
• College Time Table from all Colleges
• Class Work Monitoring System

Class Work Monitoring System for tracking class work in colleges.
- Reports on Number of Classes Missed on Daily, Monthly and Periodic
basis
- Generates list of Faculty who Missed Classes, College-wise with
reasons
- Reports on number of Special Classes Conducted by each faculty

Action has been initiated on the faculty who have not engaged
classes as per timetable.

To Provide Adequate Infrastructure to Colleges
Complete Infrastructure Status is captured from all colleges
Action has been initiated to Provide Drinking Water, Toilets and
College Compound Walls on Priority Basis.
College Building Construction work is underway in 103 Colleges.
Proposal has been submitted to the Government for special
grants of Rs. 630 crore required for providing basic infrastructure
such as class rooms, desks, computers etc… for Colleges.
