The Transit HubAs cities grow larger and pedestrians are pushed to further distanc-es the need for a revitalized and more accommodating transit system grows just the same. An area to begin with lies at the core of all public transportation, the transfer stations, a typology in need of a transfor-mation not only to aid the commuters of today, but also to change the publics general perception of what community-based transit looks like. This element of urban life should be seen as both a commodity as well as destination, pursuing not only the commuter’s transportation needs, but also enticing their impression of the community at large. By implementing amenities such as greenery, public seating, and bike storage the project looks to enhance the experience of both commut-ers and the entire neighborhood.
