MESSAGE FROM CONGRESS PRESIDENT

Stalwarts from all across the globe are participating as faculty, with riveting Keynote lectures, Symposia, Video Sessions, Debates, Panel discussions, Award Sessions and e-Posters, ensuring that there is something of interest and use for everyone. There will be dedicated sessions for hernia, liver and HPB, GI cancer and Bariatrics. This will be in addition to the sessions devoted to basic laparoscopic surgery for the post-graduates and those who have recently started doing minimal access surgery. Niche topics like Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Urology, Pediatric Surgery, Robotics and Endocrine surgery are also covered. There will be daily live surgery transmission for 6 hours on three separate screens simultaneously from centers in India and abroad.

We hope you and your family are staying safe in this difficult time of global pandemic. That is why, this year, AMASICON2020 will be held virtually. This will address the concerns of safety of all participants as

thwell as satisfy their intellectual aspirations. The 15 International Annual Conference of the Association of th ndMinimal Access Surgeons of India, incorporating live surgery workshops, will be held between 20 and 22

of November, 2020. This year, the event is going to be the grandest so far, with participants not only from India, but from other countries as well. Our theme is going to be new technologies and techniques which we can all incorporate in our daily practice.

Hello and welcome to the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India – Association of more than ten thousand members from India and abroad. Looking to the current pandemic situation, it was decided to conduct AMASICON 2020 on a virtual platform. The program committee and leadership are working hard to make our first virtual Conference exciting.

It will be held on 20-22 November 2020; we are only changing the formula of our meeting for the Virtual Congress. We will make every effort to adjust the substantive program and discussions to the virtual possibilities so that you can participate in the event as fully as possible.
