2018 Annual Report

Tim blew out his knee in the first game of his senior football season. He has a message for you:

“This year during [the third quarter of] our first football game, I tore my ACL, MCL, PCL and meniscus .... The first voice I heard coming up to me was Eric Gelinas, our [Safe Sports] athletic trainer. He was with me in the hospital that night and I had surgery the next week. That’s the kind of high-quality character people you’re helping support. I’m really thankful for that. Thank you!”

Tim missed the rest of his sports seasons this year, but he was a regular in the athletic training room working hard with Eric on regaining his strength.

that pit in my stomach that any parent feels when you suspect the worst. But [the Safe Sports athletic trainer] found me to tell me my son had an injury.

She told me what to expect and put me at ease. Now, when we have a home hockey game, she’s the first person I look for. It gives me a great sense of relief
