DecodeIR.DLL version 2.44 ------------------------------------------------------------------------INSTALLATION: This package contains five versions of DecodeIR, each in a separate folder, namely DecodeIR.dll in the \Windows folder, two versions of libDecodeIR.so in the \Linux-i386 and \Linux-amd64 folders, and two versions of libDecodeIR.jnilib in the \Mac OS X-i386 and \Mac OS X-x86_64 folders. Copy the appropriate version to the directory where you have the programs that use it (such as IR.exe, IRScope.exe, RemoteMaster.jar, CCF2EFC.exe, CML2EFC.exe or IRTOOL.exe) or copy it to a directory from which programs in multiple directories can access it (on Windows XP systems, \Windows\System and \Windows\System32 are such directories). There is also a \com folder. The files in this folder concern the use of DecodeIR in Java programs and are intended for the developers of such programs rather than for the end user. ------------------------------------------------------------------------USE: Use the main program (IR, RemoteMaster, IRScope etc.) normally. When that program needs to decode an IR signal and is able to find the appropriate DecodeIR version, it will use it instead of its built in decoder (if any). ------------------------------------------------------------------------INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS: A separate document that is included in this package, DecodeIR.html, gives information about the general format of the output from DecodeIR and further detail about many of the individual protocols. This document can be opened by Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or simil ar programs and is available through the "Help" menu of IR.exe and IRScope.exe as "Interpreting Decoded IR Signals". ------------------------------------------------------------------------ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS This version has been developed by Graham Dixon with some additions by Dave Reed from earlier versions (up to 2.36) by John Fine.
