OFFICER POSITIONS

President – presides over and conduct meetings, prepare an agenda of each meeting, represents chapter, works with committees, works closely with advisors ect., seeks school principal approval for DECA activities

Vice President – assist the president, be prepared to assume duties and responsibilities of president if needed, oversee all committee work and management of assignments, maintain calendar of chapter program of work, works with promotional chairman

Marketing Assistant (Formerly Secretary/Treasurer) – creates a phone and email list of all DECA members, count and record votes, creates all communications in behalf of the chapter (ex: principals newsletter), works with social media director and promotional director to create weekly social media promotions

Marketing Director – creates themes and promotional plans for DECA (ex: theme for the year, designing tshirt, bulletin promotion board ect.), designs promotional materials for DECA week, assist historian in preparation of (min bimonthly) chapter newsletters

Social Media Director – maintain a history of the chapter in the form of a digital scrapbook or video to include chapter publicity and activities, weekly promotional postings on social media to inform members and promote to future DECA members, creates NY video, takes digital pictures of chapter activities, manages all forms of DECA social media

Community Service Director – organize and form a DECA service committee, plans and manages 2 community service projects, manages all other community service activities (ex: MDA), creates a promotional plan for an MDA miracle minute, organize toy drive for children’s home, organize teddy bear drive for children’s hospital, organize MDA valentine sales

Promotional Chairman – plan 3 PSH DECA does it right days, assists marketing director, marketing assistant, and social media director in producing promotional materials ect., works closely with social media director and marketing assistant to produce weekly social media promotions

Social Chairman – recruits DECA members to serve on committees (social, community service, promotional), recruits and organzies DECA members to participate in various DECA activities, recruits members to walk/drive in homecoming parade for DECA, helps plan and executes DECA does it right days, organize king and queen of DECA, plans 1 social activity

Class Representatives - represent your class at all officer meetings
