Dear Parents
We have had a fun few weeks, with lots of celebrations in the Pre-School. Firstly we celebrated Israel’s 70th Birthday. The children enjoyed participating in fun craft activities, dancing with flags and of course having cake.
We have then celebrated Lag B’Omer with a bonfire and marshmallows. A big thank you to Itzik Sachs for preparing the bonfire and bringing his guitar and leading us in some Lag’B’Omer songs. It was a hot but very enjoyable morning.
As we move towards the end of the school year we have many special events coming up including pre k visits to BRC, Pre-School end of year trip and Pre K graduation. Please make sure to add the below dates to your diaries and to check Flexi Buzz for updates and additional information.
Best Regards
Annabel Baillie

The children in Nursery A have been exploring animal characteristics. As part of this unit they
each participated in a research project with their parents. They then presented their findings to
the class in a fun, age appropriate presentation. As well as developing the children’s confidence
when speaking in front of a group, this gave them a basic understanding of how we can get information from different media. This research project was also an opportunity for the children
to collect, record and present data.
The children and parents researched and presented the following animals:
Cheetahs
Camels
Lions
Elephants
Tigers
Kangaroos
OrangutansGiraffes
Leopards
Rabbits
Dogs
Chameleons
Pandas
Dinosaurs
We set the children (and parents) an assignment: RESEARCH - how to do it? Children had to ask, search,
inquire and more to find out information about a chosen animal, and then come present it to us back in the
classroom. Our transdisciplinary skills of RESEARCH and THINKING were clearly exhibited in these presentations, as well as
our attitudes of CURIOSITY and APPRECIATION.
Well done Pre KL for sharing your knowledge with us. We all learnt so much about
the different animals.
