WEEKLY REMINDERSEnd of Term 1 2020
Dear Families,Here we are on the last day of the school term and we continue to wish every St Emilie’s families much peace, good health, joy and love this Easter.
A real challenge for everyone is to keep ‘digging deep’ and try to keep our home life as emotionally safe and calm as possible, amidst the inevitable chaos and conflict that will arise. Just trust that you can do it! Keep taking a breath and try to think before you speak. Include your kids in family projects, and be grateful for the little things. All will be well. We wish you the very best at this very challenging time and we look forward to supporting you in all the ways that matter next term.
If you want a bit if a giggle, check out some Easter frivolity on the website :)Sincerely, Tania Thuijs.

For Your InformationThank you
Thank you to those who responded to our recent survey, the results of this have really assisted us to gauge how families are travelling so far, and to assess how we can continue to meet your various needs next term, particularly in regard to Remote learning.
Remote Learning Plans Term 2
Our Learning Plans will be emailed home on Tuesday 28th April by 8.45am due to the Anzac Public holiday on the Monday. The plans have now been modified and simplified in their format. In general, these plans are to be understood as an approximately 9.00 -1.00pm experience for Years 4-6, a little less for Years 1-3 and K/PP families are to exercise their best judgment in regards to the timing of learning opportunities in their day.
In the second week of the holidays you will receive communication about how to book a phone call opportunity with your child’s class teacher via Interviews Online. Parents who work in emergency/essential services, or where both parents are working outside of the home, will also be able to indicate the need for dropping their children to school via a Google Form. This will be available in the second week of the holidays.
Based on parent feedback, we will continue to deliver our learning plans via email and a number of the learning tasks will be offered through SEESAW.
If you are a family who requires us to try to modify the program to a more paper - based one, due to WIFI issues, please send an email directly to your class teacher. This is not a simple exercise, but we are more than willing to do our best.
St Emilie’s Board Members 2020On behalf of the St Emilie’s School Community I take this opportunity of thanking all of our Board members for their time, presence, wisdom and support. Congratulations to Nicole and Michael who have joined our team this year.
