Lions, hippos, cheetah, chimps and more live in Africa, where you’ll also see plains animals, such as zebra, giraffe, gazelles and more. Chimpanzees climb in a forest of trees. Baboons scavenge the ground for treats, while rhinos cover themselves in mud. A herd of six African elephants roam the acreage on the way to the Africa exhibit. In the Aus-tralia/Asia exhibit you’ll find the Tiger Trail exhibit featur-ing orangutans, red pandas, the mystical-looking Lion-Tailed Macaques and Sumatran tigers. THE NEW THEATRE - “ALWAYS PATSY CLINE” - WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 3, WEDNESDAY, OC-TOBER 24, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, OR SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 24 - Always...Patsy Cline is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. 50+ ACTIVITIES

These activities are held at the Gladstone Community Center, 6901 N. Holmes

Gladstone Seniors: Fourth Monday of each month, 10:30 a.m. business meeting followed by entertainment and potluck lunch-eon.

Cancer Action Workshop: 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of each month, 9:00 a.m. - Noon - Volunteers are needed!

Pinochle Club: Mondays at 12:30 p.m. (no partner needed)

Bridge: Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. (no partner needed)

Gladstone Duplicate Bridge Club: Mondays at 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Partner required.

Hand & Foot: Mondays at 12:30 p.m.

Card Games of Choice: Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m.

White Elephant Bingo: Wednesdays - meet at a different res-taurant each week to enjoy lunch and BINGO! Bring two prizes worth $1-$2. Everyone will win twice.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

CANCER ACTION WORKSHOP - This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 - noon at the Gladstone Community Center. Their main goal is to make bed pads for cancer patients. There are many jobs to do and they don’t all involve sewing. Call 423-4086 for more information.

Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be issued in the event of a trip cancellation due to insufficient enrollment. Refunds are available up to the registration deadline. If a refund check is required, a $5 processing fee will be deducted. After registration deadline, a refund will be issued only if the participant can be re-placed. If participant desires, a credit will be issued for the entire amount for use in future programs.

TRIP PARKING All day trips depart from the parking lot on Campbell Street between 69th & 70th Street (next to the Com-munity Center parking lot).
