Waxahachie is more than 150 years old and has a rich architectural heritage, as evidenced in its many historically-preserved buildings and homes. But the area is also known for its "earthbound spirits." You'll begin exploring the historic downtown Waxahachie with a walking tour of the Ellis County Courthouse,

known as the state’s “most photographed courthouse” and noted for its unusually somber architectural details. Paranormal activity is ever-present in our next venue, the historic Rogers Hotel, where hauntings have been recorded in the lobby, basement, and two guest rooms. First, you’ll visit the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame & Museum, a unique interactive museum featuring the lives of women with that “can do” spirit. Our docent-led tour showcases women of accomplishment, with particular focus on pioneer

women, cowgirls, ranchers, and rodeo stars. You’ll continue our “western” journey into the historic Stockyards boasting an authentic cattle drive with real-life drovers. Lunch will be at the historic Joe T. Garcia’s, serving fine Mexican fare since the early 1900's…still owned by the Garcia family. You then two-step over to Billy Bob’s, the largest honky-tonk in the world, and partake in a photo opportunity where you’ll be able to kick up your heels as if you were riding a real rodeo bull. Note: Billy Bob's photo bull is a faux-bull available for posing with you for souvenir picture purposes. Western hats, scarves, etc. are available to enhance your western photo. It’s all about Cowboys and Rangers today! You'll venture into nearby Arlington to tour two great sports franchises. First, you're off to learn all about the Texas Rangers (2012 American League Champions) as you tour the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, a unique stadium featuring old-world

stadium architecture with a modern twist. Lunch at a nearby restaurant before continuing on to Cowboys Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys (known as NFL’s most marketable franchise). When traveling the Lone Star State, cowboys and cattle usually come to mind…..but did you know that Denton County is the third largest concentration in the U.S. for horse breeding farms? Just 25 minutes north of the DFW area you’ll discover the beautiful horse country with breeding farms ranging from

thoroughbreds, Andalusian, Quarter Horses, Arabian, Paint Horses and Appaloosas...these are just to name a few. First, we’re off to Lantana Ranch for horseback riding and ranch activities to fit activity levels of all ages. Lunch will be in the scenic setting of Lantana Lodge. Our afternoon is off to tour horse breeding farms that will provide us with an inside look at the equine industry. At the end of an adventurous day, we will have learned how scientific equine breeding can be, as well as understanding the training, selling or keeping of offspring. treatment. Then, on to Shriners Hospitals for Children® - Galveston, specializing in the treatment of burns. discusses the Warren Commission Report findings and the different assassination theories. After lunch, you'll have an audio-guided tour of the Sixth Floor Museum in the former Texas School Book Depository, with the infamous sixth floor corner window where alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shot that killed the 35th President of the United States on November 22, 1963. Your narrated tour will also view other JFK-related sites: the triple underpass, Oswald-Beckley boarding house, Officer J.D. Tippit shooting site, Texas Theater, Dallas City Jail and the JFK Memorial. MEN’S TOUR C: Shoot ‘em Up / Elm Fork Gun Club

You may be in the city, but remember, we’re TEXAS! There are 467 acres of shooting fun right here in the heart of Dallas! Ready up for some clay shooting as you take the short drive to the Elm Fork Gun Club. As featured on Good Morning America, you’re in for an educational and exciting time. On arrival, you will meet

the team that will introduce you to the facility, provide firearm safety and provide you with shotgun pointing techniques. You'll team up in squads and travel on a golf cart on to the Sporting Clay Course with your own personal instructor. It will be a game of friendly competition with a finishing event called “Flush.” You’ll have to be part of the adventure to find out what a “flush” is (there's a surprise in store for you). Just know that with the Elm Fork Gun Club you will experience excellent instruction + excellent equipment which = Success & Fun! Texas cattle history will be the focus when you tour the Cattleraisers Museum of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. The interactive gallery tells the story of the challenges and accomplishments of Texas and Southwestern cattle raisers over the past 150 years, from the start of the cattle industry and cowboys on the open range (1850 - 1890) to the large ranch days (1890 - 1940) to the present day digital age. Experience our military past as you see the largest collection of Civil War artifacts west of the Mississippi at the Texas Civil War Museum. The museum features both Union and Confederate artifacts such as uniforms, medical equipment, and weapons. A highlight is the UDC Texas Confederate Flag Collection with

Confederate, Texan, and Union battle flags. You'll also want to view the excellent film "Our Homes, Our Rights: Texas in the Civil War." Fast forward to our military present as you have the rare opportunity to tour Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, the company responsible for designing the F-22, F-16, and Joint Strike Fighter tactical aircraft. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Each tour guest must be registered prior to the tour, have a government picture ID, be a U.S. citizen, and receive clearance by Lockheed (one of our largest U.S. defense contractors). Museum, focusing on the history of the brave men that tamed the Texas frontier (remember The Lone Ranger?) and now work with local law enforcement. Transportation is the focus on this tour. First it’s automobiles as you take in the Texas Automotive History Museum boasting over 100 antique, classic, muscle, custom, race and movie-related automobiles (Chryslers, Chevrolets, Fords, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Lotus, Packards, Porsches and many more). The museum showcases automobile history and racing. Planes are next, with the Cavanaugh Flight Museum.

Focusing on preserving America's aviation heritage, the museum restores, operates, maintains, and displays historically-significant vintage aircraft. Aviation buffs, this is the place for you. You'll then lunch at the famous Babe’s Chicken (Yummmm homestyle cooking!). Trains — the transportation that built America! — are next with a visit to the American Railroad Museum. This museum displays a collection of historic trains and rail equipment including Pullman sleeping cars steam, electric and diesel locomotives. You’re off to the cosmopolitan city of Dallas! Your downtown city tour will showcase "Big D!", the city’s nickname. Stops along the way include the largest bronze grouping of longhorns in the U.S. (“Trail Drive") and a brief walking tour of Dealey Plaza, where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated 50 years ago.

All ages will enjoy the winding paths of the Dallas World Aquarium, an indoor zoo and aquarium. As you walk through a diversity of naturalistic ecosystems, you'll view birds, fish, reptiles, and mammals. Rain forests, kelp forests, and coral reefs await you. Marvel at the giant clams, magical seahorses, alligators, birds flying overhead, otters, sea turtles, and lumbering manatees -- especially via the underwater "animal cams". Have fun watching sharks, rays, and Indo-Pacific fish swim around you as you walk through the tunnel of their exhibit. And be sure to visit the Black-footed penguins in the lush outdoor South Africa exhibit. The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is your focus on this tour. Home to a variety of traveling and permanent exhibitions; look forward to such exhibits as the DinoDig, the Energy Blast, the Fort Worth Children’s Museum. Learn about the Texas cattle history in the Cattle Raisers Museum, a “museum within a museum.”

Children under the age of 12 (or any age!) can also experience Innovation Studios – five glass-walled hands-on studios to encourage and nurture the “Inventor,” “Doodler,” “Designer,” “Imaginer,” and “Explorer" in all of us. The Museum is also home to the Omni IMAX Theater, an 8-story dome with a 120-ft. curved screen, and to the Noble Planetarium, an all-dome video combined with a fiber-optic dual-hemisphere star projector that projects more than 7,000 stars.
