Welcome back after the summer break.

For the first weekly update of the new term we would like to remind you about our first annual workshop opportunity.

For any members of staff that are new to using the LIAISE or Perspective lite systems, or want to get started using these systems, the first workshop is your opportunity to get the best possible support to make the most out of them.

To register for the events you can either use the LTS online site, or e-mail the attendee details directly to us using [email protected].

Further reminder: Annual Workshop series of events

With the recent LIAISE data releases it is a good time to remind school staff of the

workshop support offer we have coming up for the LIAISE system.

This year we will be running two different type of events as part of our Annual Workshops in the Autumn Term 2019. These events will be free to attend.

Event 1: Service introductory event

The first event, see attached flyer, will be ideal for new members of staff, and staff members wanting to refresh their knowledge of the systems (LIAISEv3 and Perspective Lite) and support available in relation to our data analysis and data collection service. There are two individual events arranged focusing on Primary and Secondary School education in mid-September.

Event 2: Using LIAISEv3 and Perspective Lite to focus on the 2019 National and Regional data trends in Education performance

This is a new event that we are in the planning stage for. Individual events for Primary and Secondary education should be occurring in November.

The target audience is all users of LIAISEv3 and Perspective Lite wanting to gain a deeper understand of the performance outcomes in the national and local education system using the aforementioned systems.

Further details of this event will be communicated in the Autumn Term of 2019/20.

What’s coming soon?

1. During w/c 9th September the 2019 emerging National pupil characteristics data will be released for the Primary Key Stages, and the 2019 Key Stage 2 data will be refreshed to reflect the DfE Table Checking data which is released to schools and the LA next week.

2. By the end of September we should have released into LIAISE: - a suite of Primary Key Stage progress matrix analysis, showing progress trends from FSP to KS1, FSP to Year 1 Phonics, Year 1 Phonics to KS1, and KS1 to KS2. - pupil context gap reporting for the Primary Key Stages - school census infographic

3. During September / October we will launch to schools an additional data analysis tool, called Insight, available through Perspective Lite.

4. To ensure early access to 2019 Key Stage 4 data benchmarking at a local level we would like to collect the Table Checking files directly from schools at the end of September, rather than having to wait up to three weeks for the DfE to provide this same data in a single file to the LA. Further details of this opportunity will be communicated closer to the date when the data is released to schools. This will guarantee the ability for schools to benchmark against local trends in advance of the National data trends being available a short while after 17th October (this is the date the 2019 KS4 data is expected to be released to LA’s).
