Normally I would be telling you about who won week 8 and what track/class selection FTW Fat Rat has chosen for week 9. As it is, FTW Fat Rat is away until tomorrow and has given a little extension on week 8. You have until 5.00pm EST time to set your lap. Instead of giving you the final results, I will give you the latest positions for week 8.

If FTW Fat Rat puts up week 9 on Monday I will start a thread about it in the Time Trial sub-forum of the Competition section. If you want to get in on what I consider to be the hardest fought HLC in forza land, just head on over to www.ftwracing.freeforums.org and sign up.

The PzTYC ( Project Zero Toyota Yaris Cup ) is the first race series to be brought to you from the PZCAA ( Project Zero Competition Automobile Association ) team. Round’s one and two begin tonight. Date: Sunday 10th January Start Time: 9pm Track: Camino Viejo (Full Course)

Page 10: Dark Side of the Moon #12

Track Specific Information: Camino Viejo, Montserrat, Spain: The first two races of the PzTYC season bring us to a new venue for PZCAA competitions. The Luscious Camino Viejo track at Montserrat in Spain. The racing promises to be tight and exciting for the Yaris to navigate. This track is quite tight in places, but with some sense you can get 2 cars together all the way round the track. Frequent position changes are also a possibility as the Yaris' can run very close to each other. Please be careful on the way into the first corner as we're expecting problems on this track. I recommend everyone takes a look at this thread, so there can be no misunderstandings about who has right of way!!

Page 11: Dark Side of the Moon #12

Pit-Lane Discipline: Pitting is not required, but if you do pit, please make sure any approaching drivers are aware you are exiting the pits, as the pit exit places you straight onto the track. We don't want any accidents from that. Laps: - Race One: 25 - Race Two: 25 Lobbies: Lobby 1: PzR Jamesy 77 and PzR Sunfly PzR Tank and PzR RaF90 R3NN13 and PzR Tak PzR Slim and PzR Mike Lobby 2: Woodstack UK and Spiny Anteater PzR Freeman and PzR Spanners NB PzR TorQue and Interallsorts PzR Smidyy and PzR Staarman Lobby 3: BrItIsHBuL1DoG and PzR Maxster PzR Bad and Primetime 54 Mike Haresnape and Evilpengwinz HLR Warrior and Senna s1979

I dare say that at least 80% of the drivers have had an incident here and that results in 100% aero damage and a hell of a lot of damage to the car’s engine. With two 25 lap races, my advice would be to make sure you don’t cut the curb at Rollover Canyon and keep your car out of trouble because this will destroy not only your car but your race as well. Stay clear and let other people make the mistake for a good result. If you can’t wait until next week’s Dark Side of the Moon for the results, check the PzCAA sub-forum from Monday for results and driver discussion about the race. http://www.forzamotorsport.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=100

Interview with PzR Freeman Name: Frank Freeman Age: 30 Location: Kidderminster West Midlands Occupation: Police Community Support Officer How long have you been playing racing games for? As long as I can remember, right back to Lotus Turbo Challenge on the Commodore Amiga and Hang On for the SEGA Master System!!!!! Awesome :) How did you first get into the Forza Motorsport franchise? I saw my brother on the original a while ago now and had an argument with him that Gran Turismo was better lol. It was like

Page 16: Dark Side of the Moon #12

the old Mario vs Sonic argument all over again!!! I bought an XBox and went online just for Forza 2 and it didn't let me down. I thought it was amazing and loved the online racing, I have not looked back since. How did you get involved with Project zero Racing (PzR)? I was already on this forum when they turned up and they had a policy of C Class top 100 for acceptance to the team. I got in the Pug put the times down and got accepted in after a lot of online race nights. What brought you to Forzamotorsport.co.uk? Random racing one night I just happened to fall in the same lobby as Nor and PzR Mike who told me about the site and the race nights they did so I jumped on board. We can see from your sig, that you are a member of Chop Shop. Can you give our readers any info on the upcoming cars that will be released soon? We have some awesome cars lined up, more than we can handle at the moment if I am honest!! The next release will be a D350 Nissan Silvia s15 tuned by primetime54. It is great online and features in the top 50 on many tracks. After that we have a couple of fantastic D350 Ford Fiestas which holds so many good times. HLR Warrior has had them at the top spot on many tracks and PzR Smidyy is also up there with many top 5 times. Watch out for the CHOP SHOP section in the next couple of weeks guys.

Page 17: Dark Side of the Moon #12

Are you looking forward to the PzTYC and how well do you think you will do in this competition? Really looking forward to this. The PZTCC was a brilliant event and I am sure this will follow in its footsteps. Unfortunately I can't race every event due to my work commitments but I am hoping that I will be shooting for a podium place on the nights when I can race. What is your greatest moment? The birth of my gorgeous kids. My daughter Ava a couple of years ago now and just the other day my son Ted Do you have any comments or words of advice to give to our readers? With how the weather has been just recently this may come in useful!!! "Don't eat yellow snow"

Joke of the week

I can't get the car out of the driveway and, if I could, I probably couldn't drive to work without sliding and crashing into something. It's not because of the snow. I'm a woman.
