2016 Rules and Regulations
1/1/16 Revision
DIRECTOR’S LETTER
We would like to welcome you to the Dallas Farmers Market (DFM)- The Shed. We dedicate our work
to provide a well-managed farmers market with ongoing marketing for local farmers, ranchers, and food
artisans to sell directly to the public. In planning with the DFM team, GROW North Texas, DFM
Friends, and partners, our focus is to ensure fair and consistent management to enhance the vendor and
customer experience. Therefore, improvements are a combination of increased diversity and uniqueness
of vendors, focus on vendors that grow or produce food, clearly communicated processes, and an
emphasis on a sustainable farmers market.
In 2016, the Dallas Farmers Market just opened The Market, the restoration of the enclosed Shed 2 with
over 30 built out shops and restaurants. The Pearl Exwy and Taylor St. have also been upgraded with a
plaza like feel with benches as a grand entrance to the sheds. For vendors the Dallas Farmers Market
has lowered the vendor space fees by half. We are also more flexible in selling days as we are open on
Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Read through these Rules and Regulations, so you thoroughly understand what commitment you are
making as an approved vendor with the DFM-The Shed. If you have questions after reading this manual,
email/call. Phone: 214-664-9110 Email: [email protected]
Sincerely,
Amanda Vanhoozier
