The Daikin ENVi thermostat has an easy-to-read backlit color LCD screen that displays all the information you need to configure the thermostat. The Contractor Portal offers the dealer a variety of ways to maintain their relationship with their customers such as: Uploading their business information and logo so that it appears on your customers’ alerts and reminders. Sending branded Service Reminders to their customers based upon their preferred service schedule. View the make and model of their customers’ Daikin HVAC equipment right from their portal. Access their customers’ HVAC Reports for remote troubleshooting and diagnostics. Communicate specials and promotions to their customers and increase their web traffic by adding the Daikin ENVi login portal to their company’s webpage.

The Daikin ENVi thermostat supports a single‐stage auxiliary heater. One relay implemented for an auxiliary heater

HEAT PUMP + AUX HEATER The Aux Heater operates as a second stage heater with the heat pump

when heat pump cannot maintain room temperature (IF YOU ALLOW IT). The ENVi determines aux heat use by monitoring the temperature

difference between setpoint and room temperature along with the time duration.

The Aux Heater works as a backup heater without the heat pump when outdoor temp is low (MIN OA TEMP to run heat pump is configurable, disabled as default) or AUX HEAT ONLY is selected.

COOLING ONLY + (AUX) HEATER Heater works as a primary heat source. Auto mode is available.

FAQ (continued)


Some models of the Indoor Unit include an intelligent eye, an infrared sensor that detects room occupancy. It adjust the set point by 3.6°F (2°C) if no movement is detected in order to save energy (+3.6°F/+2°C if cooling, ‐3.6°F/‐2°C if heating).

To use intelligent eye, you must enable this option in the Daikin ENVithermostat and then enable it with the Daikin wireless remote controller. If enabled, the thermostat’s Smart Recovery (Optimum Start) and Temp Alert functions are not available.

By default, intelligent eye is disabled on the thermostat. Do NOT enable the intelligent eye with the Daikin wireless remote controller

when it is disabled on the thermostat as this may cause suboptimal operation and result in invalid recovery and alert messages. Also, if an auxiliary heater is configured, enabling intelligent eye may energize the auxiliary heater more often than would normally be required.

Intelligent Eye


In Multi‐Split system, the first unit which calls for cooling or heating determines the system operation mode. Following units cannot change the system operation mode unless it is configured as the priority indoor unit. While following units wait for the system operation mode change, indoor unit On Status Led is slowly blinking (2.5 sec on, 0.5 sec off)

At the ENVi, when the first unit stops calling, there will be a chance for following units to become the first unit and change the system operation mode. When system is in cooling mode, call for cooling and Fan On work. When system is in heating mode, only call for heating works.

Mode Conflict in Multi‐Split


Receiver for the wireless remote should be installed. Otherwise C9 error occurs. Room temp sensor in the receiver is used for indoor unit control. It can be hidden above the ceiling. In this case, it should be located close to the return air to sense the room temperature.

No louver menu on FDXS09/12LVJU which is the current model. Louver menu is shown on the FDXS09/12DVJU, but it has no meaning.
