1 Executive Summary The deliverable 12.2 presents the project website. In this document, an overview of its structure and main features is provided, together with some accompanying screenshots. Fondazione Politecnico di Milano (FPM) has designed the website and coordinated the task with the participation and joined effort of all project partners. The Openmind website provides a brief, but impactful description of the project and of its activities. It is meant to be a tool for communication, that is able to promote the project goals and results beyond the project own community, in a way that is understood by non-specialists. The tone of voice will be simple, clear and straightforward. The website presents the same style of the other communication materials composing the brand identity and coordinated image - Logo, Headed Paper template, PowerPoint Presentation template, Leaflet, Newsletter, etc. - making the project instantly recognizable. The Openmind website has been released on December 21st, 2015 and it is available at the address www.openmind-project.eu. The website is written in English.

2 Introduction The Openmind website has been released on December 21st, 2015 and it is available at the address www.opemind-project.eu. Fondazione Politecnico di Milano (FPM) has designed the website and coordinated the efforts and contributions of all project partners. The website is the primary source of information as per the project’s activities and achievements. This is the reason why, the design and setup of the Openmind website has been one of the first tasks to be accomplished at the very beginning of the project. Dissemination through the website aims at raising:

awareness (making the project known);

understanding (entering into discussion);

action (engaging and influencing).

The website architecture has been studied by Fondazione Politecnico together with the content editing. The technical development and adjustments have been accomplished by a sub-contractor using the platform CMS Wordpress (php open source) based on DB MySQL and PHP code hosted on a Linux server. The website template is designed with a responsive layout to fit into any screen size available. The Openmind website provides a brief, but impactful description of the project and of its main activities. The website presents the same coordinated image and style of the other communication materials - Logo, Headed Paper template, PowerPoint Presentation template, Leaflet, Newsletter, etc. - making the project instantly recognizable. It contains a quick access to the private area of the project on Box.com, a cloud system to connect partners, to share and store confidential documents. The Openmind website is written in English. Hereafter, an overview of the website is provided by following the site map. Screenshots are also provided.

3 The project website The Openmind website offers information, data and materials about the project, its partners, and the designed research. The homepage features some slides with keywords summarizing the project central messages. Each subsection has a customized header that distinguishes the individual areas and every element has a specific color, following the brand identity guidelines. The website template is built with a responsive design to fit into any screen size. Responsive web design (or "RWD") is a type of web design that provides a customized viewing experience for different browser platforms. A website created with RWD displays a different interface depending on what device is used to access the site. For example, a responsive website may appear one way on a laptop, another way on a tablet, and still another way on smartphone. The template comes with rtl (right to left) support, Image Slider, a three line menu icon and Google Fonts. The domain name is ‘openmind-project.eu’ and it has been acquired and will be maintained for 5 years. At the present stage, there are five main sections composing the site: 1.About, 2.Process & Technology, 3.Partnership, 4.Testimonials, 5.News & Events. The section “About” provides an overview of the project, its main objectives and expected results. The section “Process & Technology” provides an overview of the advanced process of research carried out by the project and will be expanded according to the results obtained during the project lifetime. The section “Partnership” presents the nine technical and scientific partners with a short description of their contribution to the project. The section “Testimonials” is meant to involve experts and opinion leaders expressing their opinions and views of the project and its level of innovation and impact in different domains. The section “News & Events” allows visitors to subscribe to the project newsletter and to view and download the press releases, press reviews, and the press kit. In the next months, according to the communication plan, new sections will be available, such as: Newsletter (a newsletter will be released every six months, starting from February 2016); Multimedia, with news, videos and photos. Relevant news on the project will be available on the website. All project partners have contributed to the structure and contents of the website and moderate the content. Some screenshots of the home page are shown in Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4 and Figure 5.

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE DETAILS HOME PAGE The home page shortly introduces the Openmind project and gives the most relevant information about it. The Openmind home page provides a brief but impactful description of the project and of its objectives. The central slide show is dedicated to a set of images, automatically scrolling, meant to attract the attention of the web surfer. More generally, the website is structured to enable a quick access to all the sections -detailed description of the project, process & technology, partnership, testimonials, news & events - through a navigation allowed by a three line menu icon, on the upper right corner of the screen (available in each page). By tapping -mobile version- or clicking -desktop version- on the menu icon, it opens up a side menu with a selection of options and additional pages. The tiny icon takes up a minimal amount of screen and it gives the site a clean minimalist look. It is easy enough for the website visitor to press the button to slide the menu in and out. Icons, pictures, layout, and colors have been selected in order to be emotional, attractive and in line with the domain of medical surgery.

ABOUT The section contains 3 sublevel pages: Overview, Objectives, and Milestones. The main objectives and goals, data and foreseen activities of the project are described. Public deliverables will be uploaded in this section in order to be freely downloadable and add punctual information about the project evolution.

In order to do so, you need to involve them in the project, letting them understand the importance of it and attracting their attention. That’s why a great importance is given to testimonials, whose voices will be “heard” straight from the homepage. The intention is that of hosting a written interview – if possible, also a video interview – every six months, up to the end of the project. The endorsements will be variegated to encompass the widest field of interest. The first guest is Sohrab Fratz - Cardiology, Pediatrics - Deutsches Herzzentrum München.

NEWS & EVENTS The section contains 3 sublevel pages: Newsletter, Press Releases, Press Reviews. In the two pages “Press Releases” and “Press Review” the press kit is also available. It contains: the information sheet, the leaflet, the partner profiles and the press releases in the English, German, Spanish and Italian.

FOOTER MENU The footer menu allows a quick access to several services and additional information, such as: contacts, private area access, credits, disclaimer, legal info, privacy, coockie policy, search. They are generally placed in a footer menu, as they are not strictly related to the content of the project.

Google Analytics is a powerful tool to monitor the results of the communication strategy and to get a complete picture of the audience, in terms of: number of hits; number of unique visitors; traffic sources; location, etc.
