Professor James Moffat was a Senior Fellow of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) for 13 years (retired August 2016), gaining a global reputation in mathematical modelling. He is now an Honorary Professor in the Department of Physics, Aberdeen University. See links to references listed below. His experience is as one of the most senior scientists in Government. His current research is on Noncommutative Geometry and fibre bundles as a means of unifying relativity and quantum theory.
