Innovative Sensor Products1997-1999
The company:• 1997 startup company• Wanted to develop sensors for navigation and vehicle control• First sensor: Minituarized Fluzgate compass. My tasks:• Hired to develop electronics close to the sensor• Main focus quickly turned to the sensor itself, because it was not
possible to purchase magnetic materials of sufficient quality• Company tried to develop it’s own magnetic material, this became my
main responsibility. This was an exciting phase with close contact with leading research centers at ETH, Zurich and with IBM.
• Company was closed down when we concluded that it was not possible to develop the needed quality within the available budgets.
Data Respons1999-2005
The company• Delivers contracting services and standard off-the
shelf solutions to industrial companies• Focuses mainly on realtime and embedded
systems• 120 employees in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and
Finland• Data Respons executes most tasks in their own
offices – this allows focusing on building strong internal competence
Data Respons1999-2005
My tasks - Software development– Large projects for Q-Free – radio based toll systems.
Involved system design and architecture, development and project management
– VxWorks operating system on Motorola PowerPC and 68k architecture
– FrameGrabber – Linux driver SW for Linux and VxWorks (BT848 chipset)
– TCP/IP – Fault finding for network problems under VxWorks
– LabView / LabWindows test system development
Data Respons1999-2005
My tasks – Hardware development• Project manager for ”PipeScanner” development
– 8 different PCBs– High-energi D/A circuit (600V, 200kHz-2MHz)– High-resulotion, noise-sensitive A/D circuit (12bit@8MHz)– Heavy bandwidth data transfer
• Xilinx FPGA (Virtex2Pro)• GigaBit ethernet
– Extremely complex mechatronichs• Circular design• Minimal area og volume
My tasks were both within project management, design and quality control
PipeScanner• Technology licensed to Breivoll Inspection Techologies
from Det Norske Veritas• Measures remaining metal thickness from the inside,
using ultrasound• Unique technology• Version 2 won the ”
Norwegian Engineering Success of the year” in 2007
Data Respons1999-2005
• SCAP – Scan and Pay– Shopping solution for
mobile phone– J2ME application on
the phone using a barcode skanner.
– J2EE application on central server and in each associated store.
• My tasks– Developed all softare
for the telephone using J2ME, Eclipse and Junit
– Developed 30% of the server code using Jboss and J2EE
– Developed tools to improve development intetration with J2EE server
Mercatus AS2005-2008
• Mercatus makes web based solutions for the Aqua and Agri businesses
• Developed on Microsoft .Net platform
• 20 employees in Florø• 10 employees in Chile
My tasks:• 2005-2007 : Director of Development
Responsible for all new developemnt. Worked a lot with methodology TestDriven, .Net, MBUnit og TypeMockUsed DotNetNuke portal framework
• 2007-2008 : Chief Techical Officer– All developers reported to me– Responsible for all development– Responsible for all production systems– Tightly involved in customer processes
Albrektsen Innovasjon AS• Started April 2008• Offers contracting
services• Based in Florø, travels to
the customer when that is beneficial.
