I am a highly motivated and ambitious second year undergraduate with experience
in designing the exterior/ interior of new and existing public spaces using various
methods of design.
A candidate with a large amount of work experience (both related and general), this
driven and highly motivated student is currently seeking a work experience placement
in the commercial design industry.

BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design
A Degree focused on the Interior architecture and design of new
and existing buildings, with a syllabus that includes; History and
Theory of interior design - production and the use of interior space in
the 19th and 20th century; Interior Technology and Design - building
construction, structural details, sustainable design and technological
integration in an interior; Interior investigation – experimental
and analytical design processes in response to a functional brief;
Representation and Communication investigation – investigation
into methods and skills associated with representation and
communication of architecture and interior design.
This course has provided me with training and skills enabling me to:
• Present designs using different methods in a structural and clear
manner to a client
• Collect research using a range of sources such as on-site, online
journals and books
• Set out my project deadlines independently, managing workloads
for different projects
• Work efficiently with groups of up to ten students to complete
group projects such as the history of buildings and the remake
group task
• Critique designs as part of design evaluation
• Create proficient designs onto IT and software packages such
as Photoshop and Sketchup. I have started learning AutoCAD and
Autodesk 3ds Max in the course which will enable me to design
well using these packages by the end of the academic year.
• Illustrate hand drawings, fast sketching, technical drawings,
detailed drawings, photography, conceptual, development and
final presentation models

• Participation in both commercial and domestic design spaces
• Assisting with planning, reconstruction and refurbishment on a
range of Jane Jobson’s client’s interiors
• Shadowed designer Jane Jobson and her assistant as they
communicated with their clients in person
• Assisted with shelf stocking/ bagging items
• Aided with the assembling of goods within the business
• Determined catalogue details of client’s orders

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS I am a very active person attending Taekwondo (First Dan black belt,
training for ten years) and the gym regularly, and taking part in Box
fitness and Zumba at Portsmouth University.
I enjoy painting, drawing and creating collages of buildings and
landscapes
