The Centro Andino de Educación y Promoción José María Arguedas is an
Education civil society organization that generates critical thinking,
promotes protagonist innovative experiences in the context of sustainable
human development, thereby focusing along with Quechua indigenous
peoples in the processes of democratization of the State and Peru’s civil
society.
CADEP’s WorkThree programmatic focus areas:
1. Affirmation of democracy, citizenship and culture of peace.
2. Bi-lingual Intercultural Education.
3. Natural Resources and the Environment.

1. Affirmation of Democracy and Culture of Peace -• Train and educate women and girls so they can strengthen their
capacities and exercise their rights.
• Guarantee equal opportunities to achieve greater equity.

• Improve girls’ academic achievement levels.
• Promote the:
– Value of their culture, language, use and customs.
– Use of technology as a tool for empowerment.
– The full exercise of their rights.

– The value of ancestral technologies that incorporate modern technology.
– Implement measures to adapt and mitigate climate change:• Construction of heated housing.
• Elaboration of biocides.

Indigenous Woman in Perú until 2021
• Guaranteeing the rights of women and girls.
• Advancing the recognition and valuing of HER role in the
safety and food security of the family and her role in rural
communities.
• Overcoming cultural norms that limit HER access and control
over her resources.
• Elevating HER power to make decisions and negotiate in both
the public and private spheres.
• Increasing HER self-esteem.

• Empowering HER role of transmitting traditional knowledge
