Hello, we are the founders of Cardboard Superheroes, a non-profit

organization dedicated to inspiring creativity through hands-on learning. We have

partnered with the Comic-Con Museum to provide an immersive STEAM

experience for students by building mini-cardboard models of popular characters.

This course is designed to enhance students creativity as part of their on-

going education. The curriculum is built upon pop-culture characters intended to

engage students' creativity and imagination. Each cardboard model ranges in

difficulty with specific learning objectives to help students develop artistic skills,

math concepts, basic engineering/architecture techniques, design process, ability

to think out of the box, and even inspire future careers. As we are both students,

we understand first-hand that an integrated arts education is essential and can

provide life long benefits. Students will learn to stretch their minds in a hands-on

engaging activity. In this STEAM curriculum, there will be 10 mini-cardboard

models such as Captain America’s Shield, Wall-E, and more. Each model will

include free tutorial videos, PDF templates, reference images, and learning

objectives with NGSS aligned teacher and student guides.

If you are 10 years old or younger, we highly

recommend you build under the supervision of

your teacher, parent, or guardian.

Be careful with the hot glue gun – as the name

says, the tip and the glue are HOT and can

definitely burn you. Please be careful!

Scissors are sharp and cutting cardboard isn’t

easy. Take your time and ask for help if needed.

Always cut away from you.
