Understanding Curriculum
Art Curriculum should not be stagnant. It needs to be fluid, ever-changing and improving. You shouldn’t write it once and forget it.
• The challenge for me was accepting that there are really two curriculums—The one my administration needs for MSIP, and my actual working curriculum.
The Challenge
• Art is difficult to assess
• Assessment FOR Learning vs. Assessment OF Learning
• Because Art is not a tested area, I strive to assess FOR learning.
