Inter school level:

Bhavika of class IV secured first position in KATA Inter School Open Karate Competition organised by Sanjay Karate School held at Hyderabad in October 2017.

District level:

Meghana Haldar of Class VIII bagged the runners- up trophy in U/17 girls Badminton Tournament held at Ranga Reddy District in June 2017.

T. Samvedha of Class VIII secured first, second and third position in 200M free style, 50M Breast stroke & 200M Breast stroke respectively in Swimming Competition organized by Hyderabad District Swimming Association in December 2017.

State Level:

K.Sasidhar of class -X was rewarded a cash prize of Rs.15,000/- by the State Tennis

association for ranking number one in boys U/14 category. He also stood as winner of Asian

Junior Championship tournament held at Pune in June 2017.

Shaik Firoz, Upendra Lal, Vineeth Kumar, B Manoj of Class XII & Hasanian Ayman

Beig of Class IX won silver medal in 4X400M at CBSE Cluster in September 2017.

Shaik Feroz of Class XII won gold medal in 1500M & Silver in 800M and was selected for Nationals.

R Saranya of class X won gold medal in long jump in CBSE Cluster level and got selected for Nationals at Gujarat.

Mahima Ramesh of Class X won gold medal at CBSE South Zone Taekwondo and was selected for Nationals held at Cuttack in November 2017, she also won a gold medal in SGF District level Tournament cum Selection in Taekwondo tournament held at Hyderabad in August 2017 and represented in Nationals in January 2018.

Kundana Sree of Class VIII won a Gold in LIGHT SANDA, two Silver Medals in TEI-SHU and

TAO-LU 4th Telangana State KUNG FU selections held at Hyderabad in November 2017.

G.Thanushitha Reddy of Class-VIII bagged runners-up in doubles in Secunderabad Club Open CS-7 National Ranking Junior Tennis Tournament in December 2017.

M Akshara of class VIII secured third position in Black KATA Telangana Inter State Karate Championship organized by Compact Sports Association at Hyderabad in October 2017.

Academy, San Diego, USA and the prestigious 41st Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana and

Dance Festival in March/April 2018 organized by Bhairavi Fine Arts.

III. Scholarship/Cash Awards awarded by reputed recognized bodies

M Krishna Praneet of Class IX was awarded Shri Pranlal Devkaran Nanji Award for Excellence in Harmonious Behaviour-2017. He received Rs.1100/- along with the certificate.

B Amukta Malyada of Class VIII, K Jashwanth of Class X & P J N Pratyush of Class XII were awarded Shri C.Subramaniam Award for Excellence in Character-2017. They received Rs.500/- each along with the certificates.

IV. NTSE, NSTSE, NTSS, National Science and Maths Olympiad and Other Examinations.

District level:

In the Zonal level of Science Olympiad held in November 2017. R Vaishnav of class III,

Abhiram Aditya of class IV & Ravi Karthik of class V won gold medals and certificates.

In the Zonal level of Maths Olympiad held in December 2017. K Ravi Karthik of class V secured 17 rank & got certificate of Zonal Level Excellence, Satwik of class IV secured 134 rank, Kavyakala of class III secured 150 rank and Shayan Paul secured 281 rank.

State level:

R.Dharini of Class X got State Second rank in Telangana State Level WIZ National Spell Bee Competition held in August 2017.

P Sugandhini Reddy of Class IX got State second rank in Interschool Spell Bee Competition held in August 2017.

National level:

In Akhil Bharatiya Rashtra Bhasha Hindi Pratiyogita conducted by Mahatma Gandhi Rashtra Bhasha Hindi Prachar Samastha in 2017, 550 students of classes I to VIII appeared in which Susruth P (1), P Prerna (VII), R Sri Ram (IV), K Sadhana (III), Raghav Bansal (II), Sanika Gajve (VI), B. Lohini (VI), Ashwin Riya (VIII), K Shika (IV), Shivansh Atri (VII), Ishan Aditya (V) & M Maheshwri (VIII) were conferred with Rashtra Bhasha Purraskars.

BSKRV School got Adarsh Patshala Puraskar and Mrs. Laxmi Devi Rana and Mrs. P Sailaja were awarded Rashtrabhasha Bushan Puraskar.

In the second level of Unified Cyber Olympiad held in December 2017. Eishayu Banerjee of

class III, Satwik Padhi of class IV, Ravi Karthik of class V, Jyothika of class VII and Joshika of

class IX won gold medals and certificates at all India level.

Sudeeksha of class VI secured sixteenth position in Telangana State Level Grand Finale of

WIZ National SPELL BEE held at Hyderabad in 2017-18.

R.Dharini of Class X secured sixteenth position in National Mega Final WIZ National Spell Bee Competition held in December 2017.

V. Participation in NIC/Science Exhibition/Project/Seminars/Workshops organized by

NCERT/CBSE/SCERT/SB

Prakriti Goswami, Rishita Madas, Khushbu Yadav, Aditya V, Nishant Pal & Sashank Datla of class XII attended IX National Integration Camp held at Bhavan’s Shivala Bhaiyan, Amritsar, Punjab in June 2018. Appreciation certificates to students and a memento to the school were awarded.

Two teams from BSRKV participated in the Regional level Science Exhibition in Inter-School Science Exhibition conducted by CBSE at Delhi Public School, Nacharam in December 2017. The first team comprising B Rakshita & K Ramya Priya of class XI presented the project titled “Eco-friendly algae candles” under the sub theme waste management & water body conservation. The second team comprising Essica Theodonna & Sugnana Rani of class XI presented the project titled Marvel Pesticide- Wood Vinegar under the theme Resource Management & Food Security. Certificates are not issued by CBSE.

In Regional level Science Exhibition our school won the second prize in Inter-School Science

Exhibition “Abhyasa 2017” organized by Suprabhat Model High School, Hyderabad. Sai

Deepika & Muskaan Mangat of Class X presented a research based project - “Green Fingers

in Semi-Arids”.

VI. Awards – Best Teacher, Best School & Best Student (Jindal Award/Kulapati Munshi

Award/ CBSE/National Award and other Awards of reputed State, National and

International Recognized bodies.

P Sugandhi Reddy of class IX got 2nd Best Award in Kuchipudi (Solo) in 5th International

Dance & Music Festival, Kathmandu, Nepal conducted by Natyalaya Dance Institute held on

26th & 27th May 2018 at Sarwanam Auditorum, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Mrs. Nandini Kannan and Ms. Archana Penumarthi attended 02 day Prospective Resource Persons Training on the topic “Inclusive Education” on 15 and 16 June 2017 conducted by CBSE at Pallavi Model School, Alwal City, Hyderabad.

Mrs. L. Padmaja Ramesh and Mrs. N. Vijaya attended one day workshop called “Skill Fest” on 03 July 2017 organized by ASSET on the topic “Factors, Multiples and Factorisation”. The resource person is Ms. Kshama Chakravarthy.

Mrs. Bindu Madhavi and Mrs. Madhavi Latha attended one-day workshop on 22 July 2017 on the topic “How to make Science more interesting” by a renowned trainer Mrs. Shubha Subramaniam conducted by VK Global Publications.

Mrs. Subhadra Kalyani, Mrs. Arpita Banerjee and Mrs. Raj Kumari Shah attended one-day

workshop on 05 July 2017 on “Remediation through Assessment – A skill for reflective

Teacher” conducted at Administrative Staff College, Hyderabad.

Mrs. B. Jyothi Aparna(Principal) and Mrs. K. Sita, TGT & Incharge Secondary wing, attended one day Prospective Resource persons Training Programme in “Remodelled Assessment Structure

for Secondary” on 30 November 2017 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Public School, Hyderabad conducted by CBSE COE, Kakinada.

90 teachers attended two-day workshop under Capacity Building programme in “Classroom Management” conducted by CBSE, Centre of Excellence, Kakinada in two batches on 16 and 17 December 2017 & 10 and 11 February 2018.

Mrs. B. Jyothi Aparna(Principal) attended Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan VIII All India Conference for Principals of Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools conducted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at Chandigarh, Bhavan’s D.R.A Bhavan Vidyalaya from 09 to 12 November 2017 on the theme “Visionaries for Tomorrow”.

VIII. NCC- Army/Naval/Air wing. Scout& Guide Trekking/Mountaineering.

The school has NCC Troops for boys under Troop No.70 Junior Division Force (JDF) Air wing boys with a full strength of 100 cadets under No.1 (T) Air SQN NCC Hyderabad.

The school also has NCC Troop for Girls under Troop No. 154(G) Army, Junior wing for Girls, Army wing with a strength of 50 cadets under No. 7(T) Girls BN NCC, Hyderabad.

34 boy cadets & 24 girl cadets attended Annual training camp in July 2017. They participated in various activities like range fire with (point two two) .22 Rifle, Drill competitions, clean and green programmes etc.

NCC girls participated in Mass Awareness Rallies in December 2017.

IX. Community/ Social Awareness Programmes.

The awareness programme on ‘Drug Abuse’ was conducted in July 2017 for students of classes VIII to XII. The guest for the day was Dr. Nandini, Child Psychiatrist and Dr.Jyothi, Adult Psychiatrist.

An awareness progrmme on ‘Menstrual Hygiene’ was conducted by Dr.Divya Panda in July 2017 for students of Class VI & VII.

A Road Safety Club with a motto “Safer India Challenge” was started in October 2017 with student volunteers from classes VI to VIII. Shri P.Srinivas, Asst. Commissioner of Traffic police along with the RTA officials and Sanjay Ram from IDF addressed the students of class X to XII on Road safety and Traffic Rules.

X. INNOVATIVE PRACTICES & EXPERIMENTS IN EDUCATION.

Students of Classes XI & XII were taken to Zinda Tilasmat for an Industrial Tour. They had

an opportunity to observe the processing and procedures of Industrial working.

Fire Mock Drill was conducted in school as a part of Disaster Management month activities.

Primary Health Centre, Medchal administered de-worming tablets to every student of BSRKV between the age group of 3 to 19 years in August 2017.

Vaccination for Measles & Rubella was administered to students between age group of 3 to 15 years on 20 August by Primary Health Centre, Medchal.

As a part of Vanamahostava, Tree plantation campaign was conducted in which

A workshop on Gearing up for the Examinations was conducted by Commerce Teachers

Foundation (CTF), Delhi for commerce students of Class XII in December 2017.

XI. (i) Organization of Curricular & Co-curricular Activities at School:

Intra Mural Competitions:

The students of BSRKV are divided into six houses namely Aurobindo, Vivekananda,

Ramakrishna, Mahaveer, Lord Budha and Sarada Matha Houses. Literary and Sports

competitions are conducted at inter house level.

Literary Competitions:

Solo Singing, Clay Modeling, Recitation of Bhagawadgita Slokas, Poems in Telugu, Hindi and

English, Story Telling, Creative Writing, Drawing and colouring, Essay writing, Elocution, GK

Quiz and Group dance are conducted.

Sports Competitions:

100M,200M,400M,800M & 1500M, , Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, discus throw, Javelin

throw at individual level and 4X100M,4X400M relay, Kho-Kho, Basketball, Football at group

level are conducted.

Inter School:

As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week, Inter-school Debate Competition on the topic “Can Digitalisation, Free India of Corruption” was conducted by BSRKV in collaboration with Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.

In November 2017, the students of Class VII were addressed by Dr. B Sai Kiran, Vedic Math

and Mind Power Trainer of International repute on Vedic Math & Vedic Memory. This seminar

helped students to overcome the phobia of Maths and understand Maths better.

BSRKV Telangana Tourism Club was formed on the occasion of Telangana language day in memory of 100th Birth Anniversary of Sri Kaloji Narayana Rao. The Department of Telangana Tourism invited all schools in Hyderabad and adjoining districts to establish Telangana Tourism Clubs as a Co-curricular activity in their respective schools. Thirty students from classes VI to VIII registered their names as Club members. Every Monday the tourism club members present various programmes.

(ii) Implementation of the programme of Value Education.

Awakened Citizen Programme mandated by CBSE and launched by Ramakrishna Math ,

Hyderabad is being implemented for the last three years. In order to emphasize the importance

of this programme a ‘Value Education Club’ has been formed with the students of Classes

VII to IX as its members.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS

a) RESULTS ANALYSIS:

268 of class X and 133 students of class XII appeared for board examinations in March 2018.

In class X, out of 268 appeared 27 students secured A1 grade (above 90%) and 72 students secured A2 grade (above 81%) M P Shruthi secured 488/500 marks (97.6%) and stood as school topper, followed by M Krishna Praneet with 487/500 (97.4%) followed by Ayushi Dubey 484/500 marks (96.8%) stood as second and third toppers. 05 students secured centum.

CLASS-XII SCIENCE STREAM:

Out of 69 students appeared, 21 secured above 75%, 41 students secured above 60 %. Ms. Aliveli Mansi secured 482/500 marks (96.4%), stood as school topper, followed by Ms. Anushka Rath with 475/500 marks (95%) followed by Ms. Sriya Reddi with 467/500 marks (93.4%) stood as second and third toppers.

COMMERCE STREAM:

Out of 64 students appeared, 26 students secured above 75% and 33 students secured above 60 %. Ms. Anisha Lalwani secured 472/500 marks (94.4%) and stood as school topper, followed by Mr. H Vamsi Krishna with 463/500 marks (92.6%) followed by Mr. Pratyush Kashyap with 454/500 marks (90.8%) stood as second and third toppers.

Environment education

Environment Education provides every person an opportunity to acquire knowledge, values, skills and

attitudes needed to protect and improve the environment.

Our school put forward a green step in this direction.

Vanmahostava was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The students of various wings

planted saplings and took an oath to take care of them.

NCC cadets took up several cleaning activities in and around the school. They also took care

to dispose the wastes in a proper manner.

The school encourage the distribution of eco-friendly Ganesh idols to the staff and students.

Our students participated in Swatchbharat programme and helped in cleaning up the Kapra

Lake.

The School Environment Friendly Club encourages and trains the students to put in efforts to maintain

an eco-friendly environment.
