Grey list and Black list

Context-:

A global anti-money laundering watchdog placed

Iran on its blacklist on Friday after it failed to

comply with international anti-terrorism

financing norms.

Pakistan has been retained on the ‘grey list’ of

the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for another

four months.

About FATF-:

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF)

was established in July 1989 by a Group of Seven

(G-7) countries in a Summit held in Paris.

संदर्भ-:

एक वैश्विक एंटी-मनी लॉन्ड र् ंग प्रहरी ने

अंतरराष्ट्र ीय आतंकवाद श्ववरोधी श्ववत्तपोषण

मानदंडो ं का पालन करने में श्ववफल रहने के

बाद शुक्रवार को ईरान को अपने बै्लकश्वलस्ट

पर रखा।

पाश्वकस्तान को फाइनेंश्वशयल एक्शन टास्क

फोसभ (FATF) की 'गे्र श्वलस्ट' में एक और चार

महीने के श्वलए बरकरार रखा गया है।

FATF के बारे में-:

श्ववत्तीय एक्शन टास्कफोसभ (एफएटीएफ) की

स्थापना जुलाई 1989 में पेररस में आयोश्वजत

एक श्वशखर समे्मलन में सात (जी -7) देशो ं के

एक समूह द्वारा की गई थी

The initial motive of FATF was to examine and

develop measures to combat money

laundering.

In October 2001, the FATF expanded its wings

to incorporate efforts to combat terror

financing, money laundering, and human

trafficking.

Function-:

The FATF is an independent inter-governmental

body that develops and promotes policies to

protect the global financial system so that it

could bot be used by the terrorists and other

anti-social elements.

एफएटीएफ का शुरुआती मकसद मनी

लॉन्ड र् ंग से श्वनपटने के उपायो ं की जांच और

श्ववकास करना था।

अकू्टबर 2001 में, FATF ने आतंकी

श्ववत्तपोषण, मनी लॉन्ड र् ंग और मानव तस्करी

से श्वनपटने के प्रयासो ं को शाश्वमल करने के

श्वलए अपने पंखो ं का श्ववस्तार श्वकया।

समारोह-:

एफएटीएफ एकस्वतंत्र अंतर-सरकारी

श्वनकाय है जो वैश्विक श्ववत्तीय प्रणाली की

सुरक्षा के श्वलए नीश्वतयो ं को श्ववकश्वसतऔर

बढावा देता है ताश्वक इसका इसे्तमाल

आतंकवाश्वदयो ंऔर अन्य असामाश्वजक तत्ों

द्वारा श्वकया जा सके।

Now the FATF has started dealing with

Virtual currency.

The FATF is an international policy-

making body. It does not have any role in

law enforcement matters, investigations

or prosecution.

List of FATF-:

FATF has 2 types of lists;

1. Black List

2. Grey List

अब FATF ने वचुभअल करेंसी से श्वनपटना

शुरू कर श्वदया है।

एफएटीएफ एक अंतरराष्ट्र ीय नीश्वत-

श्वनमाभण श्वनकाय है। कानून प्रवतभन

मामलो,ं जांच या अश्वर्योजन में इसकी

कोई रू्श्वमका नही ं है।

FATF की सूची-

FATF की 2 प्रकार की सूश्वचयां हैं;

1. काली सूची

2. गे्र सूची

Black list-:

Only those countries are included in this

list that FATF considers as uncooperative

tax havens for terror funding.

These countries are known as Non-

Cooperative Countries or Territories

(NCCTs).

In other words; countries that are

supporting terror funding and money

laundering activities are placed in the

Blacklist.

काली सूची-:

इस सूची में केवल उन्ी ं देशो ं को शाश्वमल

श्वकया गया है जो एफएटीएफ को आतंकी

फंश्वडंग के श्वलए अघोश्वषत कर के रूप में

मानते हैं।

इन देशो ं को गैर-सहकारी देशो ं या के्षत्रो ं

(एनसीसीटी) के रूप में जाना जाता है।

दूसरे शब्ों में; वे देश जो आतंकी फंश्वडंग

और मनी लॉन्ड र् ंग गश्वतश्ववश्वधयो ं का समथभन

कर रहे हैं, उन्ें बै्लकश्वलस्ट में रखा गया

है।

Grey list-:

Those countries which are not considered as

the safe heaven for supporting terror funding

and money laundering; included in this list.

The inclusion in this list is not as severe as

blacklisted.

Now Grey list is a warning given to the country

that it might come in Black list (Just like a

yellow card in a football match).

If a country is unable to curb mushrooming of

terror funding and money laundering than it

will be shifted from grey list to black list by the

FATF.

गे्र सूची-:

वे देश श्वजन्ें आतंकी फंश्वडंग और मनी

लॉन्ड र् ंग का समथभन करने के श्वलए सुरश्वक्षत

स्वगभ नही ं माना जाता है; इस सूची में शाश्वमल।

इस सूची में शाश्वमल श्वकए जाने को बै्लक

श्वलसे्टड के रूप में गंर्ीर नही ं है।

अब गे्र श्वलस्ट देश के श्वलए एक चेतावनी है श्वक

यह बै्लक श्वलस्ट में आ सकता है (एक फुटबॉल

मैच में पीले काडभ की तरह)।

अगर कोई देश आतंकी फंश्वडंग और मनी

लॉन्ड र् ंग पर अंकुश लगाने में असमथभ है, तो

इसे FATF द्वारा गे्र श्वलस्ट से बै्लक श्वलस्ट में बदल

श्वदया जाएगा।

Khelo India University Games

Context-:

The first-ever Khelo India University Games

will take off in Odhisha with a mega launch

event at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor

Stadium, Cuttuck on February 22, 2020.

Details-:

The Khelo India University Games are

being launched by the Government of

India in association with the Government

of the State of Odisha.

संदर्भ-:

22 फरवरी, 2020 को कटक के जवाहरलाल

नेहरू इंडोर से्टश्वडयम में मेगा लॉन्च इवेंट के

साथ ओश्वडशा में पहली बार खेले जाने वाले

र्ारत यूश्वनवश्वसभटी गेम्स का आयोजन श्वकया

जाएगा।

श्वववरण-:

ओश्वडशा राज्य सरकार के सहयोग से र्ारत

सरकार द्वारा खेलो इंश्वडया यूश्वनवश्वसभटी गेम्स

शुरू श्वकया जा रहा है।

This is the largest ever competition held at

university level in India and will have about

3500 athletes from over 150 universities

across the country taking part in it.

There will be a total of 17 sports namely

archery, athletics, boxing, fencing, judo,

swimming, weightlifting, wrestling,

badminton, basketball, football, hockey,

table tennis, tennis, volleyball, rugby and

kabaddi.

यह र्ारत में श्वविश्ववद्यालयस्तर पर

आयोश्वजत सबसे बडी प्रश्वतयोश्वगता है और

इसमें र्ाग लेने वाले देश र्र के 150 से

अश्वधक श्वविश्ववद्यालयो ं के लगर्ग 3500

एथलीट होगें।

तीरंदाजी, एथलेश्वटक्स, मुके्कबाजी,

तलवारबाजी, जूडो, तैराकी, र्ारोत्तोलन,

कुश्ती, बैडश्वमंटन, बासे्कटबॉल, फुटबॉल,

The attempt is to make the Khelo India

University Games an aspirational

competition for India’s youngsters with twin

objectives of helping them find the balance

between sport and education.

About Khelo india-:

Khelo India Programme is a national

yojana/scheme for the development of

sports in India under ministry of sports

affair.

खेल और श्वशक्षा के बीच संतुलन बनाने में

मदद करने के जुडवां उदे्दश्ों के साथ

र्ारत के युवाओं के श्वलए खेले इंश्वडया

यूश्वनवश्वसभटी गेम्स को एकआकांक्षापूणभ

प्रश्वतयोश्वगता बनाने की कोश्वशश की जा

रही है।

खेले र्ारत के बारे में-

खेलो इंश्वडया कायभक्रम, खेल मंत्रालय के

तहत र्ारत में खेल के श्ववकास के श्वलए

एक राष्ट्र ीय योजना / योजना है।

The Khelo India programme has been

introduced to revive the sports culture in

India at the grass-root level by building a

strong framework for all sports played in our

country and establish India as a great

sporting nation.

Khelo India Scheme aimed at providing an

annual scholarship of ₹ 500,000 each for

eight years to 1,000 selected athletes.

For the first two years between 2017-18 and

2019-20, the program cost the government a

total sum of ₹1,756 crores.

हमारे देश में खेले जाने वाले सर्ी खेलो ं के

श्वलए एक मजबूत ढांचा तैयार करके र्ारत में

खेल संसृ्कश्वत को श्वफर से जमीनी स्तर पर

लाने के श्वलए खेतो र्ारत कायभक्रम की

शुरुआत की गई है और र्ारत को एक

महान खेल राष्ट्र के रूप में स्थाश्वपत श्वकया

गया है।

खेतो इंश्वडया योजना का लक्ष्य प्रते्यक चयश्वनत

The government also promised to promote 20

universities across India as hubs for sporting

excellence.

Aims at mainstreaming sport as tool for individual

development, community development, economic

development and national development.

Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing,

Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Kho-

Kho, Shooting, Swimming, Volleyball, Weightlifting,

and Wrestling.

सरकार ने खेल उतृ्कष्ट्ता के श्वलए पूरे

र्ारत के 20 श्वविश्ववद्यालयो ं को कें द्र के

रूप में बढावा देने का वादा श्वकया।

CHILDLINE India Foundation

Context-:

According to the data from Childline India

Foundation,one in every 10 calls made to the

child emergency helpline 1098 was of child

abuse.

Details-:

The largest number of phone calls were

made to seek intervention for Child abuse

cases followed by those pertaining to child

labour , education , runaways and missing

children.

संदर्भ-:

चाइल्डलाइन इंश्वडया फाउंडेशन के आंकडो ं के

मुताश्वबक, चाइल्ड इमरजेंसी हेल्पलाइन 1098

पर श्वकए गए हर 10 कॉल में से एक चाइल्ड

एबू्यज था।

श्वववरण-:

बाल शोषण के मामलो ं में हस्तके्षप करने के

श्वलए सबसे बडी संख्या में फोन कॉल श्वकए

गए, इसके बाद बाल श्रम, श्वशक्षा, रनवे और

लापता बच्ों से संबंश्वधत थे।

The nature of abuse children suffered shows

that 37% of the complaints were about child

marriage, 27% about physical abuse , 13%

regarding sexual abuse among others.

The data also shows that 35% of the total

cases of sexual abuse were committed by

neighbours, 25% by strangers and 11% by

family members.

About CHILDLINE India Foundation-:

CHILDLINE India Foundation(CIF) is the nodal

agency of the Union Ministry of Women and

Child Development.

बच्ों के साथ दुव्यभवहार की प्रकृश्वत से पता

चलता है श्वक 37% श्वशकायतें बाल श्वववाह के

बारे में थी,ं 27% शारीररक शोषण के बारे में,

13% दूसरो ं के बीच यौन शोषण के बारे में।

आंकडो ं से यह र्ी पता चलता है श्वक यौन

शोषण के कुल मामलो ं में से 35% पडोश्वसयो ं

द्वारा, 25% अजनश्वबयो ं द्वारा और 11%

CHILDLINE इंश्वडया फाउंडेशन (CIF) कें द्रीय

It acts as the parent organisation for

setting up, managing and monitoring

the childline 1098 service all over the

country.

It is also the sole agency responsible for

monitoring childline service delivery and

finance, training, research and

documentation, creating awareness,

advocacy as well as resource generation

for the service.

यह पूरे देश में चाइल्डलाइन 1098 सेवा की

स्थापना, प्रबंधनऔर श्वनगरानी के श्वलए मूल

Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor

Context-:

World Bank has offered to give financial assistance

to the last remaining portion of the Eastern

Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) between Bihar’s

Sonnagar and West Bengal’s Dankuni.

About Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor -:

It is part of India’s Dedicated Freight Corridor

(DFC) program

involves the construction of a 1,839km-long

freight line extending from Ludhiana in Punjab

to Dankuni in West Bengal.

श्ववि बैंक ने श्वबहार के सोननगर और पश्विम बंगाल के

दनकुनी के बीच पूवी समश्वपभत फे्रट कॉररडोर (EDFC)

National Organic Food Festival

Context-:

Ministry of Food Processing and Ministry of

Women and Child Development jointly

inaugurated the National Organic Food

Festival in New Delhi.

Aim-:

The festival aimed at strengthening organic

food produce in the country.

It also aimed at encouraging women

entrepreneurs in manufacturing organic

produce.

खाद्य प्रसंस्करण मंत्रालयऔर मश्वहला एवं

बाल श्ववकास मंत्रालय ने संयुिरूप से नई

श्वदल्ली में राष्ट्र ीय जैश्ववक खाद्य महोत्सव का

उद्घाटन श्वकया।

देश में जैश्ववक खाद्य उत्पादो ं को मजबूत

Details-:

More than 180 women entrepreneurs and

self-help groups exhibited their organic

products at the festival.

It was announced at the festival that the

organic sector is growing at a speed of 17%

per year.

GoI has lately been taking several steps to

export organic foods.

Jaivik Kheti Portal has been included in the

agricultural budget presented by the

Finance Minister.

उत्सव में 180 से अश्वधक मश्वहला उद्यश्वमयो ं

औरस्वयं सहायता समूहो ं ने अपने जैश्ववक

उत्पादो ं का प्रदशभन श्वकया।

त्यौहार पर यह घोषणा की गई श्वक जैश्ववक

के्षत्र प्रश्वत वषभ 17% की गश्वत से बढ रहा है।

गोई हाल ही में जैश्ववक खाद्य पदाथों के

श्वनयाभत के श्वलए कई कदम उठा रहा है।

श्ववत्त मंत्री द्वारा प्रसु्तत कृश्वष बजट में Jaivik

Kheti Portal को शाश्वमल श्वकया गया है।

Out of the 2.8 lakh crore allocated for

agriculture, a part is to be used for Jaivik

Kheti scheme.

Jaivik Kheti-:

It is a National Project on Organic

Farming. Under the scheme, the GoI aims

to strengthen organic farming.

It was launched in 2004. It was

introduced in 10th five-year plan.

Though the scheme initially aimed on

usage of Bio-Fertilizers, later it focused

on producing organic foods.

कृश्वष के श्वलए आबंश्वटत 2.8 लाख करोड में से

एक र्ाग का उपयोग जयश्ववक खेत योजना के

श्वलए श्वकया जाना है।

जयश्ववक खेश्वत-

यह जैश्ववक खेती पर एक राष्ट्र ीय पररयोजना है।

इस योजना के तहत, GoIका उदे्दश् जैश्ववक

खेती को मजबूत करना है।

इसे 2004 में लॉन्च श्वकया गया था। इसे 10 वी ं
