RATHVILLY were too strong in theDivision 2A final but the Borris ladsfought tooth and nail to the veryend. Cian Leonard scored an earlygoal and his colleagues tacked onthe points.

Borris had their only goal justbefore the break when Evan Kealylatched onto a forward pass, out-smarted the keeper and slammedthe ball to the net.

At 1-6 to 1-0 at the break, Rathvillygot their scare and came out with allguns blazing.

They piled on the pressure,scored vital goals and were able tocelebrate a fine win when the finalwhistle blew.
