Overview The EPM 7000 meter provides revenueclass (0.2%) threephasepowermeteringwithoptionalEthernet , relay,status,andanalog output communicationmodules.This flexible meter can be used for awiderangeofhighaccuracyapplicationsincluding disturbance recording andpowerqualitystudies.

EPM 7000 can easily be mounted in apanelforgeneratormonitoring,substationautomation, power quality studies, datarecordingandmore. Themeter canalsoprovide data to RTUs, PLCs and othercontroldevices.

TheEPM7000isahighlyaccuratemeterproviding 0.1% accuracy for Voltageand Current . The unit’s real-time clockprovidestimestampingofalllogsastheyarecreated.Up to4MBofdatacanbelogged for analysis of historical trends,limitalarms, I/Ochangespowerqualityrecordingandsequenceofevents.

MeteringThe following electrical parameters aremeasured and remotely accessed fromtheEPM7000.

Universal Voltage and Current This meter allows voltage inputmeasurements up to 416 Volts Line toNeutral and 721 volts Line to Line. Thisinsurespropermetersafetywhenwiringdirectlytohighvoltagesystems.Theunitwill perform to specification on 69 Volt ,120Volt ,230Volt ,277Voltand347Voltpowersystems.

• MethodTwo-Current“Gills.”Themeteradditionallyprovidesultra-ruggedterminationpassthroughbarsallowingtheCTleadstobeterminatedonthemeter.Thisalsoeliminatesanypossiblepointoffailureatthemeter.ThismethodisalsoapreferredtechniqueforensuringrelayclassCTintegritydoesnotgetcompromised.NoterminalblocksarerequiredandthisstudbaseddesignensuresthatCTswillnotopenunderafaultcondition.

ThroughanoptionalhighspeedModbuscommunicationsinterface,themetercanalsoprovidedatatoRTUs,PLCsandothercontroldevicesatBaudratesrangingfrom9600baudto57.6kbaud.
