Preschool Pitter Patter

The 2017-2018 school year is here! Julia Leslie is our new Preschool

Director/Teacher and Mary Dempsey is on staff as our Bookkeeper and Classroom

Aide. A BIG thank you to Warren Jacobs for his help and support. Also, a special

thank you to Pastor Megan, Mary Dempsey, preschool parents and the preschool board for their

dedicated work through the summer.

The classroom is being decorated and two tricycles have been ordered. There are 20 children in the

morning session and 7 children in the afternoon session. Volunteers are needed to join the preschool

board. We are also need qualified subs to teach or assist in the classroom. A special thanks to Dean

Snowden, Tim Anderson and Violet Bane for their help in painting the classroom! Please contact

Pastor Megan or any board member if interested in volunteering. Let the school year begin!

The preschool board is happy to welcome Julia Leslie as the new Director. Julia has over

8 years of experience in early childhood education. She is excited to get started and has

lots of great ideas on how to make our program grow. Julia and her husband Dave along

with their four children, Timmy, Reyde, Wyatt, and Jessyka are active members of Cross

and Crown. Join us in congratulating Julia on her appointment!

will begin on Thursday,

September 7 at 5:30 pm.

helpful but not necessary. If anyone is in-

terested in joining please contact the Bell

Anniversary Blessings

Carpenter's Place meal prep and serving will be September 22nd. This is a great opportunity to share your food and or mealtime by serving the guests who comes to Carpenter's Place for support of body and soul. The signup sheet goes around on Sunday during the service.

Meet with people of various faiths. This is a chance

to increase your understanding of people who may

have different beliefs than yours, but may also have

some very similar beliefs. We will meet in small

groups of people from different faiths to discuss a question, then move to another group.

This activity is sponsored by the Rockford Interfaith Council, which has been active in
