GLIMPSES OF GLORY

On October 4th the Evangelism Team hosted an event entitled, “This Autumn Fall Back into Church.” It was well attended. The energy of our community was spiraling high. Thank you so much for coming, and if you were unable to attend, please look out for the next event. You won’t want to miss it. The God that we worship is worthy of our praise and thanksgiving. He is worthy of our time. He gave us this glorious planet and all that is in it; from the rich soil producing food, to the seas and all their creatures, to the birds of the air, to the family and friends that support us. He loves us so much and He never gives up on us. Reflecting on Psalm 8 the Psalmist says, O Lord our God, how majestic is your name in all the earth, when I consider the work of

your hands, the moon and the stars that you have set in their courses. What is humankind that you are mindful of them, that you care for them, you have made them to rule over all the works of your hands, you have put everything under their feet, the sheep, the oxen and all beast, the birds of the air and the fish of the sea.

Regardless of your personal circumstances, you have been placed in the highest position in God’s creation. Remembering that and living out of that knowledge can have tremendous impact in your life. “O Lord our God, how majestic is your name in all the earth.”

Cross of Glory October 2015

October is always filled with colorful

activities and lots of excitement.

Pumpkins, gourds, apples and beautiful

colored leaves are everywhere. We have

already begun to notice changes in the

leaves in our woods and look forward to

going on nature walks to collect items we

see at this time of the year! God’s world is

beautiful!

October is also Fire Prevention Month so

we will be learning how to stay safe. Our

annual visit from the Aberdeen Fire

Department is scheduled for October 28th.

We always enjoy exploring the fire truck

and learning from the firefighters! In class,

we will be helping the children learn their

phone numbers and addresses and how to

dial 9-1-1 in an emergency.

Our science and nature area will be filled

with all things fall. We will investigate

different types of pumpkins and weigh and

measure them too.

All classes will be going on pumkin picking

trips. The 2 day class travels to Dearborn

Farm, our 3 day group will explore Green

Meadows farm and learn about pumpkins

and animals. Our afternoon class will go all

the way to Monmouth Junction for a fun-

filled day at Von Thun Farms.

In mid-October our staff attends the New

Jersey Association for the Education of

Young Children’s annual conference in the

Meadowlands—we always come back re-

energized with new ideas from workshops

and networking with colleagues!

Our nursery school now has its own

Facebook page. We will be expanding the

page to include articles of interest,

reminders of special events and some

photos.

Peace,

Janet Kain
