PART1: ASSESSMENT STANDARDS:Pedagogical aspects:

Motivation and Interactivity:

Approach is appropriate for the intended student population.

Format is varied.

Overall tenor of interaction is helpful.

Student is an active participant in the learning process.

Graphics and audio are used to motivate.

Graphics help focus attention to appropriate content without

being distracting.

PART1: ASSESSMENT STANDARDS:Pedagogical aspects:

Accuracy of content:

Content is accurate.

Content is current.

Content breadth is reasonable.

Content is free of any bias or stereotyping.

Content supports the school curriculum.

Content is relevant to the subject field.

PART1: ASSESSMENT STANDARDS:Technical aspects:

Navigation:

Learner can alter program sequence and pace.

Learner can review instructions and previous frames.

Learner can end activity any time and return to main menu.

Learner can enter program at different points.

The look is consistent throughout the software.

PART1: ASSESSMENT STANDARDS:Technical aspects:

Simulations:

Simulation model is valid and neither too complex nor too simple for intended

student population.

Variables used in the simulation are the most relevant.

Program simulates activities that can be too difficult to demonstrate in reality.

The time needed to complete both a step and the entire simulation is reasonable

and effective.

Encourages decision making or calculation rather than guessing.

PART1: ASSESSMENT STANDARDS:Technical aspects:

Documentation:

Technical and operational explanations for implementation are clear and complete.

If appropriate, "quick start-up" section is included.

Accurate and clear descriptions of content topics are provided.

Accurate and clear descriptions of instructional activities are provided.

Necessary information can be found quickly and easily.

PART2: TECHNOLOGY REPRESENTATION

Software Name:

Crocodile physics from Crocodile Clips which uses "constructional"

approach for teaching and learning.

Description:

Crocodile physics, is an international professional simulation software in the

physics field of experiments consists of many equipment to do experiments

in optics, electronics, motion & force and waves which user can easily drag

from the tools list and use.

Page 8: Crocodile physics2

PART2: TECHNOLOGY REPRESENTATION

Features:

1-Involve students into learning process.

2-Compress time or slow down processes.

3-Save money and resources.

4-Make experimentation safe.

5-Make impossible situations possible and controllable.

6-Let student repeat events as many times as they want.

Page 9: Crocodile physics2

Objectives:

1- The provided software will encourage student to learn.

2- Teachers will be able prepare at home.

3- help the teacher enhance learning process.

4- prevent users from any dangers which could happen in the real lap .

5- provide, easily and perfectly, experiments student can’t see in the real lap

like nuclear and atomic experiments.

6- provide schools with an alternative material replacing the real traditional lap

which is dangerous and costs a lot.

Part2: Technology Representation

Page 10: Crocodile physics2

Methodology:

Teacher role:1- Introduce the software for students properly. 2-Identify objective beyond using the software.3-Teach students how to use the software.4- Select appropriate topic for students to work in using the software.5-Monitoring the effectiveness of the software through the feedback he get from students

Student role:1-applay physics concepts and rules in the simulated lap software.2-Practice using the provided software.3-Use the functions and applications of the software properly.4-innovate new higher mental skills and ideas using the software.
