Enabling the Payroll Field for Offer Creation This document explains how to personalize and display the Payroll field on the Create Offer page. When you select an appropriate payroll for an applicant while creating an offer in iRecruitment, you can successfully hire the applicant using Oracle HRMS without encountering payroll related errors. Issue: Using Oracle HRMS, when a user tries to hire an applicant for whom an offer is created using iRecruitment, the application displays the error: “This Assignment is not eligible for salary element”. Cause of Error: When the user tries to hire an applicant, for whom there is an offer created with a salary proposal, it is mandatory that the element link criteria of the salary element is defined. When the element link criteria is Payroll ID, and the Payroll for the assignment is not defined, then the applicaton displays the error: “This Assignment is not eligible for salary element”. The available option in Oracle HRMS is to enter the payroll for an applicant using the "Hiring Applicants through Template" form. Solution: You can resolve this error by associating the payroll for an applicant while generating an offer. Since querying each of the applicants to associate a Payroll is a time consuming process, in iRecruitment when an offer is being created for an applicant you can associate a Payroll. Using simple personalization steps, you can enable the Payroll field on the Create Offer page.

Enabling the Payroll Field for Offer Creation

This document explains how to personalize and display the Payroll field on the Create Offer page. When you select an appropriate payroll for an applicant while creating an offer in iRecruitment, you can successfully hire the applicant using Oracle HRMS without encountering payroll related errors.

Issue:

Using Oracle HRMS, when a user tries to hire an applicant for whom an offer is created using iRecruitment, the application displays the error: “This Assignment is not eligible for salary element”.

Cause of Error:

When the user tries to hire an applicant, for whom there is an offer created with a salary proposal, it is

mandatory that the element link criteria of the salary element is defined.

When the element link criteria is Payroll ID, and the Payroll for the assignment is not defined, then the

applicaton displays the error: “This Assignment is not eligible for salary element”.

The available option in Oracle HRMS is to enter the payroll for an applicant using the "Hiring Applicants

through Template" form.

You can resolve this error by associating the payroll for an applicant while generating an offer.

Personalization Steps to Enable the Payroll Field on the Create Offer Page: Step - 1: Click the link: “Personalize Page” in the header region.

Step - 2: Search for the Payroll field and click the Update button (as shown below)

Step - 3:

1. Set the “Read Only” property to ‘False’.

2. Set the ‘Rendered’ property to “True” at the required level, i.e., Site, Responsibility etc.

After setting these two properties, click Apply.

Step 4: Personalization steps are now complete. Click Return to Application

You can now see that “Payroll” field is available in the Salary Information region of the Create Offer page.

You can select the appropriate Payroll for applicants.

By following the above steps, customers can successfully hire the applicants without encountering errors

with regard to payroll. Also, the payroll identified during the offer creation is carried forward to the

Employee Assignment upon hire.
