To develop the students' skills in a range of activities related to professionalism in the modern construction industry.

1. Identify and explain the nature and role of the key professional Institutions in the Construction Industry.1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Construction-related Business Organisations - Types, Objectives, Structures and Stakeholders.1. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
This module will be continually assessed by a variety of assignments. These will include oral presentation and written reports. Assessment will be both formative and summative. Presentation seminars will also embrace a peer review process.

Students will receive feedback on their performance in the following ways:
Feedback on performance will be given throughout the module. Feedback will be both summative and formative.
Feedback on performance in written work:
With written assignments a pre-specified feedback return date will be indicated. The assessment criteria will be provided with the assignment brief.Written feedback on performance will be provided by the tutor. Verbal feedback will be provided to individuals when the individual circumstances dictate. Verbal feedback at a more general level regarding performance will be given to the group.
Feedback on performance in seminar presentations:
Feedback on performance in seminars will be provided by both the tutor (formative and summative) and by the peer group members of the class (utilising peer assessment forms, example given above). Formative feedback will be immediate - via peer assessment forms and verbal feedback.
