Five Price Types With Completely Different Buying Behavior

Bargain-Buyer Interest in bargain offers, bargain tarifs, rebates and premiums. Buys mostly because, instead of contempt for the price and sometimes buys even pointless items just because they are cheap and does this in all price categories.

No-Risk-Buyer Loss averse buyers - always see the risks of a purchase they want to avoid. Risk prevention strategies: personal advise, fair price, active information obtaining.

Brand-Loyal Buyer Has a price notion, but is very receptive for brand, image and quality. Compares products, less so the prices and is innovative. Often spends more then planned.

High-Risk Buyer Little interest in price negotiation or rebates, promise of quality and the brand counts. Prices are not being monitored as long as the experience suits the customer.

Low-Interest Buyer Very Emotionless. Sees himself as being highly informed and buys to satisfy a current need. Little price interest and nearly no price comparison.
