Countdown to SeasonWe are just weeks away from the start of the 2016 winter season. Everyone has settled into their new teams and commenced training. We can already see an improvement in fitness and skills across all teams so keep up the good work.
In this edition of the newsletter you will find some important information about the annual Pretty in Pink Day. We encourage everyone to get involved on 7th May and donate to a cause close to many of our hearts.
We also have our own fundraiser coming up shortly with the Bunnings BBQ later in May. We are looking for volunteers to help out and would greatly appreciate members getting in contact
to let us know if you’re available.
Please be aware that two cars were broken into in the WDNA car park on Tuesday 5th April. Re-member to bring any valuables you may have with you down to training and always lock your vehicles. Even if you are only dropping your children off for their training sessions.
On a more positive note we’d like to wish you all the best of luck heading into your first game for the year. Remember to work hard for your teammates and yourself. Always aim to be the best you can be!

2016 Pretty in Pink Day On Saturday 7th May come down to the second game of the season donned in your prettiest pink to help us support Breast Cancer Net-work Australia. This is an annual event at WDNA to raise money and awareness in support of Breast Cancer research and support in Australia.
There will be raffle tickets, ribbons, cakes, shoe laces and all sorts to purchase so please come ready with some spare cash (no cards accepted)!

Hamersley members have always been very supportive of this cause and we encourage you to get involved. Have a talk with your coach over the coming weeks about what your team will do to participate - and take plenty of photos!

Photos throughout the SeasonOur Hamersley teams are very good at taking great photos throughout the season. We would love you to pass your photos onto the publicity team so that we can use them in the end-of-year slide-show and also for Facebook post and in the Hamlet.
Please email any of your high quality images through to [email protected] at any time through the year. You could also pass any photos onto your team manager who will be able to send them through at the end of the year.

Parent Liaison Officer The Hamersley Netball Club Inc. Committee is pleased to announce that we have appointed a Player Liaison Officer for 2016. Leanne Newland is a clinical psychologist and has volunteered to provide support to parents in supporting their children in being part of a team and embracing the culture of Hamersley Netball Club Inc.
If you have any concerns or queries you can contact the Parent Liaison Officer via the Contact Us page on the Hamersley website. The Parent Liaison Officer will check emails once a week so please be patient in awaiting a response.
Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser Hamersley Netball Club Inc. will be running the Sausage Sizzle at Joondalup Bunnings on Sunday 22nd May from 7:00am - 4:00pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for the club to raise funds for the continued development of players, coaches and umpires.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from anyone that may be able to assist with the BBQ roster on this date. Please contact [email protected] if you are able to volunteer for any amount of time on this date.

Congratulations! M A R R I A G ECongratulations to Graham and Michelle Cox (nee Cairney) who were married on 3rd March at St Josephs Church in Subiaco. Michelle recently returned from living in London and jumped straight back into netball with Hamersley.
Clay and Stacie McLernon (nee Butcher) were married on 12th December after dating for 8 years. They decided to be married in Mandurah near the water edge, under an old fig tree which has special meaning to Clay and his family.
A huge congratulations to both our brides! We wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

Hamersley Netball Club has been extremely fortunate in the past to receive sponsorship from Toyota Genuine Parts over a 30-year period from 1982 - 2012.
