A report has been prepared detailing the policies and the associated requirementsthat are due for council’s annual review.

13.1.2 Review of DelegationsIn line with recent changes to the recent amendments to the Development Act 1993and the Development Regulations 2008 a review of Delegations to the Eastern EyrePeninsula & Regional Development Assessment Panel and Council’s Manager ofDevelopment Services has been included for members’ consideration.

13.1.3 Interim External AuditCouncil’s External Auditors, Dean Newbery and Partners will be in Kimba, to conductan interim audit on Thursday 25th May until Friday 26th May, 2017.

13.1.4 Joint Planning Arrangements – Eyre PeninsulaThe PDI Act will see significant changes in regional planning and governancestructures. The Eyre Peninsula Local Government Association EO, Tony Irvine, hasactively been investigating the options and opportunities for regional planning,leadership and representation.

13.3 Works Manager13.3.1 Tola Road

Work has now been completed on re-sheeting 1km of the Tola Road, fromBuckleboo Road to Whites Knob Lookout.

13.3.2 Wilcherry RoadContinuation of previous works has commenced, with formation, drainage and re-sheeting of a further 1.3km underway. This project is expected to be completed bythe end of June.

13.3.3 Pinkawillinie RoadRubble is being raised and crushed, in preparation for re-sheeting works to beundertaken in the new financial year. This work is scheduled to occur in July/August,weather permitting.

13.3.4 KPMV UnitsCouncil staff have commenced with removal of external fixtures on the two units, asdiscussed at the April meeting. Upon completion of this work, we will advertisethese two units for sale.

13.3.5 High StreetAt present, the western side of this project is nearing completion. Dependent onexpenditure work may commence on the eastern side shortly.

13.3.6 CWMSCouncil staff have completed an audit of the 15 manholes located within the system,enabling us to assess and rate their condition and prioritise remedial works.

13.3.7 WM VehicleQuotes are currently being sought for changeover of the Works Manager vehiclewhich has recently clocked up 90,000km.
