Costume &

Make Up

Page 2: Costume and make up

The first look we decided to do a bun representing the stereotype of a posh girl . The make up is also quite natural, by using a foundation and mascara.

The gothic look we decided to have backcombed hair, slightly curled. The make up we decided to use black eyeliner and mascara, and black lipstick to represent the stereotypical view of the gothic look.

The girly look we decided to use curly hair with a head band on to show a girly look. We used a lot of make up, so using a lot of foundation, mascara and eyeliner and lip gloss which is stereotypical for a girly look.

This shot of the 3 different looks was used to show the comparison of her a posh, gothic and girly girl and it shows she doesn't suit the looks and fit in, and comparing the 3 shows she doesn't belong.

For the rest of the shots in the music video we decided to use natural hair and make up to represent her and only her so the video isn’t focused on what she looks like but who she is as a person. It’s also to show the person behind the make up relating to the lyrics.

Military Boots These reflect the alternative genre as they are related more to the rock genre.

Converses These reflect the indie/ rock genre this is to show imply the alternative genre as it’s a mixed genre.

The skinny jeans are used to reflect the alternative genre as a lot of artists wear skinny jeans in the rock genre but the colour of the jeans relates to the hip hop genre as they are a lighter colour

The graphic vest represents the rock and indie genre as a lot of artists from this genre wear a lot of them.

The plain white vest was used to show how she blends in and doesn’t stand out. But also so the video isn’t focused on the outfits but focused on who she is and the feeling of loneliness within the video
