procurement, we provide a direct link between you

and ethnic minority owned businesses to help develop

an inclusive supply chain.

To incorporate inclusive procurement as part of every supply chain strategy within the UK

Success So Far

Since the company formation in July 2006, more than £40m worth of business has been generated between our Corporate Members and Ethnic Minority Businesses. Corporate membership has increased by over 100% since MSDUK began, from 16 to 34 members, and we have over 300 Ethnic Minority Businesses registered on our database. What is even more important is the role we, along with our corporate members, have played in the growth of EMBs, leading to hundreds to jobs created in some of the most deprived regions in the UK.

What we will do for you

MSDUK currently has 34 Corporate Members listed

under three categories: Charter, Regular and Associate

membership. Each one of the Corporate Members has a

dedicated MSDUK account manager who works closely

with the procurement teams to the right suppliers for

the company.

Whilst Corporate members have access to all of the benefits we offer, this is subject to receiving the signed membership agreement and payment.

Creating a more inclusive supply chain will not happen

just by joining MSDUK. You will need to put some work

in, but there are a number of ways that you can utilise

the MSDUK network to benefit your organisation. Feel

Making the most of the MSDUK network

There are multiple ways to really get a return on your investment with MSDUK. You have seen the benefits table outlining what is on offer but this section aims to explain some of those key aspects that we think you should focus on:

Free event attendance

• We encourage you to send out our events calendar to everyone in your procurement teams

• The meet the buyer events are industry specific so are great for your category managers to meet lots of relevant suppliers in one day

• All events are free to attend apart from the bi-annual conference where you will receive discounted rates

Access to MSDUK

database of suppliers

• Every individual from your organisation that would like to access our online database just needs to register!

• This database allows you to search by category, filter and obtain key details about the suppliers

• You can also post any RFP's/Tenders/Opportunities online and your account manager can provide you with any training on this

Supplier Referral Service

• All regular and charter members are offered this unique service

• Encourage your category buyers and managers to email us with any procurement requirements and we will do the rest!

• MSDUK will find suppliers who meet the minimum citeria of your requirement and send you a referral sheet with supplier details and bio-note.

• Your buyers can then select any or all and include them in the procurement process

A half day industry specific event

Allows you to meet ethnic minority owned businesses from the specific industry

Begins with a short industry focussed seminar

Followed by 2 hours of one to one meetings between you and our corporate members

Ends with a buffet and networking drinks reception which is open to all industries

Supplier Diversity Day

A full day event open to all businesses and corporate members

Enables networking with EMB’s and other corporate members

Includes panel discussions, seminars and workshops on business issues

Provides the opportunity to meet with over 150 people from the MSDUK network

Best practice sessions

A half day event open to all corporate members

Your chance to network informally and get to know other corporate organisations

Includes an interactive workshop for sharing experiences

A great event for peer to peer learning

MSDUK Conference and Awards Dinner
