The Offer – Genesis Wines We would like to present our offer of Christmas gifts tailored for your corporate requirements. In addition to our own house Champagne from Pascal Agrapart, we are very happy to offer Ruinart’s Brut ‘R’ at a competitively reduced price and available in stylish gift boxes too.

We also have a selection of classic red and white wines priced in boxes of six (all are standard 75cl bottles). Why not choose one of each to make that perfect dozen? Please note that these wines are all of high quality from growers of terrific repute – this is not a lazy list of overstocks or personality-less bottles that you might find elsewhere. However, if there is anything specific you would like that you cannot see below then please let us know. All prices exclude VAT and include delivery.

Champagnes Champagne Agrapart Les 7 Crus NV 21.30 127.80 Pascal Agrapart is a Champagne wizard, and as such his all-Chardonnay 7 Crus is the house Champagne that we at Genesis like to serve at home. Fresh and lemony with a soft and delicate floral finish, this an aperitif wine that you can drink plenty of without ever tiring of it. R de Ruinart Brut NV (available in gift boxes) 23.95 143.70 The Ruinart style has more biscuit-like weight than the Agrapart, owing to the addition of Pinot Noir and some extra reserve wines in the blend. This smart looking Marque is also available in gift boxes for that added touch of style. Normally £29 per bottle.

Whites Chablis Domaine de Temps Perdus 2007 10.00 60.00 Straight Chablis doesn’t get much better than this. As well as the crisp green apple flavours and hints of chalkiness that are the tell tale sign of this appellation, there is also added concentration and depth that would make you swear it costs twice the price. Sancerre Terre de Maimbray Pascal & Nicolas Reverdy 2008 10.00 60.00 Classically classical! You won’t see Sancerre more traditional than this: rammed full of all the citrus fruits in the grove with a flinty core and a lingering gooseberry-infused finished. Shellfish for starters? This is the bottle to turn to. Puligny Montrachet Alain Chavy 2007 22.80 136.80 A sure-fire crowd-pleasing bottle of top quality Burgundy perfect for the dinner table whether it be turkey, goose or poached salmon. An underlying minerality is smothered in vibrant lemon, acacia flower and more than a hint of toasted almonds.

Reds Givry 1er Cru Clos Jus Domaine Mouton 2006 13.50 81.00 A delicious medium-bodied Premier Cru, this wine from the Côte Chalonnaise is brilliant value for money in world that is full of average Burgundy. Ripe and juicy with lovely redcurrant and cranberry flavours it is very glassy indeed and another impressive bottle for the dinner table. Esprit de l'Eglise Pomerol 2004 25.65 153.90 The Esprit is the second label from extremely cultish (and equally expensive) Clos L’Eglise, and so is a great way to experience the same style and panache as the main wine, but at less than half the price. And also without having to wait another decade until it’s ready to drink! Châteauneuf du Pape Domaine de Marcoux 2006 30.00 180.00 This is just the wine to demonstrate what all the fuss surrounding the Rhône Valley is about. Based around the Grenache grape there are tons of cherry, raspberry and violet flavours. As usual with the feminine-tinged wines from Marcoux it is beautifully forward and drinking well now.

Port Noval 10 Year Old Tawny 13.75 82.50 A little bit special and a break from the norm of ‘standard’ Port. Pink-brown in colour it has marmaladey flavours of orange peel with hints of fig and sultana. A thoughtful and fun after dinner wine with just enough sweetness without being too heavy.
