DISASTER RECOVERY – Retail bankCurrent situation:• Organization of an efficient mechanism , application switching between centers , carried out at the

request of (management or failure) .• The current manual procedure has been exposed to operator errors especially in relationships time

and depends on taking actions and decisions in various departments in a distributed organization.Proposed solution:• Implemented in the Control -M system tasks in the proper sequence which makes the process

DISASTER RECOVERY .• The process can be invoked on demand and encompasses enable and disable applications ,

including the synchronization matrix elementsBenefits:• Process visualization and the ability to quickly locate and reaction when an error occurs .• A relatively accurate administration of the application switching time , important when planning a

technological gaps in high- availability systems .

END OF THE DAY– InsuranceCurrent situation:• Necessary to monitor the completeness of all the processes involved in the " end of day " .• Option to verify the correctness of processes based on reports generated in a situation where they

are needed.• Taking note of the ongoing changes in many systems , the correct completion of the process .• Regimes imposed strict timelines.Proposed:• Control - M and BIM was used to start up and supervision of the processing of the whole process of

" closing day" .• To order the reports was used Self Service ( run reports without having to involve third parties)Benefits:• The central overseeing the entire process including temporary fortifications , also from the

perspective of the business- (Self Service) .• The ability to generate reports on demand , including transit to the target location .• Remote monitoring process on mobile devices (Self Service) .

Page 23: Control-M Roadmap Mariusz Gajewski, BMC +48 601 803679

Logistic management– FMCG/RetailCurrent situation:• Reception and distribution of orders to / from the central SAP• Orders are accepted from multiple sources , in several formats• Orders are sent to producers and shippers• SAP manages , among others, operations and cargoSolution:• BMC Control-M for SAP• The appearance of the event in SAP workflow starts in the Control –MBenefits:• The ability to control the flow of orders and their delivery• Simple combination of different technologies affecting cash flow

Page 24: Control-M Roadmap Mariusz Gajewski, BMC +48 601 803679

Payment processingCurrent situation:• Overseeing the safe transmission of large amounts of files in a distributed environment (SSL , SFTP)• Large variety of database environments and the need for synchronous update the information.• There are no messages on time transaction data file results in a lack of payment for the service and

charges ( penalties) Solution:• Use of the Control -M AFT and Control -M for Databases .• Control -M is used for the processing and transfer files to the card providers and implements

related operations in database systems .Benefits:• Remote monitoring process on mobile devices ( Self Service ) .• The "early warning" about the threat of BIM conditions specified in the SLA by suppliers.• By applying process automation and centralized supervision reduction of operator control .• Compliance with the regimes of time , threatened escalation processes.
