Curtain Measuring Guide

Choose the heading typeStep

a.) Pencil Pleat- made with a 3 inch heading tape with 3 hook positions.Curtains are supplied ungathered and no hooks.b.) Pinch Pleat - Double and triple 5 & 6 inch pinch pleats are available. Triplepinch pleat is made to approx 2.5 fullness and double pinch pleat is made to approx double fullness. Curtains will arrive pleated to the correct size to t your track/pole, therefore it is important to include all overlaps and returns in yourmmeasurements.c.) Pencil Pleat

is is a heading that uses 7.5cm(3 inch) tape with 3 diierent hook positions to suit all types of polesand tracks

Curtains are supplied ungatheredso that you can gather them to the rrequired width. To create an evenpleat please ensure the draw cordsare pulled equally. ey do not comewith hooks.

We also oier a 15cm (6inch) tape with 6 hook positions, particularly goodfor those with longer curtainsmaking the header proportionateto the drop.

Please refer to the meauring guide to calculate thenumber of widths required.

Pinch Pleat

Pinch pleats are made as 5 or 6 inch triple or double pleats, they are moregathered than other curtain headings and have a sewn in pleat. ere areusually 5 standard triple pinch pleats per width of fabric.

Each curtain width is tted with 5 strong plastic, adjustable height hooksand will arrive pleated to the correct size to t your track/pole. Average nished width per curtain when pleated is 60cm.

It is important to include alloverlaps and returns in yourmeasurements.

Triple pinch pleats are made to approx 2.5 fullness and double pinchpleats are made to approximatelydouble fullness.

We add a spring back of 5cm and anoverlap of 5cm per curtains

FFabric covered buttons are available as a surcharge.

We recommend the use of apole not a track to ensure

pleats hang correctly.Please refer to the measuring guide to calculate the number

of widths needed.

Eyelets allow for a more contemporary look for a curtain pole as they fold intolarge even pleats. Eyelets are available in 40mm and 50mm. (Silver Milk onlyavailable in 40mm.)

)ere are normally 8 eyelets per width and we recommend you order doublefullness for a gathered look when the curtains are closed. (Please refer to measuringguide.) 40mm eyelets are suitable for poles upto 30mm and 50mm eyelets are suitable for poles upto 35mm.suitable for poles upto 35mm.

When measuring, please note 40mm of fabric will be added above the eyelet, soplease measure them for the top of the pole.

This modern heading usesa speciically designedheading tape and wave glidercord to create a continuouswave eeect.It is similar to aneyelet but hangs neatlybelow the tbelow the track.

They are made to approx 2.2 fullness and supplied unhooked.

Wave curtains are only suitable for certain fabrics, (if unsure please contactus) as they lend themselves to a more lightweight fabric. If the fabric folds intoa soo wave pattern easily then this is an indication of its suitability. Heavyfabrics and embroideries are genereally not suitable.

These are ooen used as a decoration forthe top of your curtain to conceal a track.

All valances are available as pencil pleatwith 7.5cm header tape or 5 inch pinch pleat.

.ey are 43cm as standard, but larger sizes are available up to 60cm at asurcharge. Cushion cover are supplied with a beige zip. As an alternative we may use ablack or white zip at our discretion.

Measuring for Roman Blinds

Blinds may be tted inside or outside the window. Please measure thewidth and the drop of the blind to give the actual nished size of theblind. Please only provide us with the nished blind size required.

Child Safety

All our Roman Blind systems house an internal breakaway mechanism to complywith Child Safety Standard BSEN1320.

Please note that chains and cords that operate blinds can be a hazard to small children.Please be mindful when placing cots, beds ot furniture near a window featuring a blind.

When installed, the lower part of the chain must be at least 60cm from the oor.

We use the following Blind System:

Product Information

Curtains

- All curtains will be made with standard lining to suit unless otherwisestated.- Alternative linings are available, curtains are also available unlined, however we do recommend you line all curtains for a more desired nish.- Blind stitched bottom hems are approx. 7.5cm.- Lead weights are sewn onto the joins and mitered corners.- Single curtains a- Single curtains are available, if they contain a half width you will becharged the next full width price.- All curtains wider than 127cm will require a join in the fabric unless youare selecting from our PT Extra range.- Any curtains selected from the PT Extra range have a maximum height ofapprox. 260cm.- Curtains are pattern matched from the bottom, if multiple curtains need pattern matching then plpattern matching then please state this on the order and it is subject to a10% surcharge, otherwise we cannot guarantee all items will pattern match.- When the curtains are drawn and meet in the centre of the window, sidehems prevent an exact match on the leading edge.- Curtains are supplied unpressed, creases will normally fall our when thecurtains are hung. Please aviod excessive heat or pressure as this couldstretch or shrink the fabric.- - We recommend that all lined products are Dry Cleaned.

Product Information

Shrinkage/ Fading/ Tolerance

- Atmospheric shrinkage up to 5% occurs with all fabrics. It is dependent on changes in temperature and humidity, this is not a fault with the fabric.- Lined fabrics should not be washed as the curtain fabric and the liningmay experience diierent levels of shrinkage causing the lining to hang belowthe curtain fabric.-We recommend that all curtains are lined to reduce the eicts from directsunlight. All fabrics will eventually fade and degsunlight. All fabrics will eventually fade and degrade over time.- We believe an acceptable tolerance limit of +/- 2cm on curtain make up and+/- 1cm on blinds and other make up. You will not be entitled to reject goodsif they fall into the above accepted tolerance.- All returns must be made prior agreement.
