Fishing and boating are major attractions in this region, we can organise guides for fly fishing.

PR angle: There are some unique authentic original features in our homestead. The entrance hall architecturally is quite unique with its plaster columns and arches and features the original Victorian 'embossed imitation leather wallpaper'. New Zealand Historic Places Trust have stated that it could be unique in New Zealand, if not the world. It is in remarkable condition and we have been painstakingly restoring it.Our point of difference is that we do dress in Victorian costume for our guests. This makes their stay very memorable and many photos of the two of us in costume, in our hallway are spread all over the world. This completes the guests total experience of Victoriana. The colonial estates were of importance in the establishment of Historic Oamaru and guests enjoy the chance to be able to experience this authentic homestead that was once part of a vast estate.

Relaxation with unsurpassed style are the hallmarks of any visit to Queenstowns –Chambers Apartments. Only a few, select accommodation choices can boast the rich comfort of luxurious, homely surroundings, with one of the world’s most desirable four-season destinations literally on its doorstep.Exclusively located overlooking Queenstowns Village Green and the shores of Lake Wakatipu, the two apartments offer an opulent oasis at the heart of a cosmopolitan mountain paradise. Surrounded by splendour, enveloped in luxury, charmed by choice.

Seasonal Point of Difference:

During Autumn The Chambers offer complimentary return airport transfers for guests staying over this period.

PR angle: No argument over luxury accommodation

It's an unusual claim to make but the owners of Queenstowns newest luxuryaccommodation –The Chambers Apartments are proud to boast there's been a lot ofargument and debate around it.

That's because The Chambers, on Athol Street, spent most of its life as thecivic centre for the Queenstown Lakes District Council."We like to think that where councilors once debated roading andplanning, now our guests will be discussing their dining options for theevening and activity choices for the day!" said host Steve Lindsay.

The company has positioned itself in the vanguard of the New Zealand luxuryaccommodation movement, offering holiday visitors, corporate travellers, honeymooners and families something to please everybody. The Chambers has all the luxury of the traditional country lodge, yet it'spositioned in the heart of Queenstown.

"Our guests have at their doorstep everything the resort has to offer, whether it's adrenaline-based activities or casual strolling, café lunchesor five-star dining, then escape into their own oasis of calm."And the design brief is unique too. More than anything, our team wanted theapartments to have the feeling of home. The two apartments are the sorts of places you canwalk into and relax immediately. It's like putting on a favourite coat, itjust feels right," added Steve.Just like home, both of the three-bedroom apartments provide the idealchoice to stay in and dine or relax on the verandahs removed from the pulse of the resort below.

"A great number of visitors to Queenstown have friends visiting theresort at the same time, or make good contacts while they're here, or wantto meet clients in their own environment, so both the apartments arecompletely fitted out for entertaining. We can even supply catering andserving staff for an extra luxurious or professional dimension," saidSteve.

"So whether it's family discussions, business negotiations or justreflecting on the day's activities over dinner, our guests have the perfectplace to fit all their needs. We think the days of heated arguments in thisbuilding are well and truly over as it should be when you’re on vacation!"

Product Description:

Expertly Guided Sea Kayaking tours offering a choice of destinations on the spectacular northeast coastline between Tutukaka and the Bay of Islands. The 'Paradise Coast' is known for exceptional scenery, beautiful beaches, and it's famous offshore islands. Each trip is tailor made for the client group, from tranquil harbour cruises to adventure kayaking on the open coast, and camp-out expeditions to remote areas. Our Guides assist in making each trip unique for you. Add swimming, snorkeling, fishing, short walks or photographic stops into any trip as you wish, and we'll help you experience the nature of true coastal NZ in an unspoilt paradise. We also offer kayak tuition, and sea kayak hire from our Kayak Base, on the waterfront, in Ngunguru. We are a 15 minute drive from Whangarei.

Seasonal Point of Difference:

Autumn is an exceptional time of the year in Northland, and an excellent time to explore the coastal areas. Our summer easterly wind patterns are at an end, making way for flat seas, calm conditions, and the opportunity to access all of the spectacular coastal formations, clear waters, and beaches on the 'Paradise Coast'. We have the best day trip in the country, and quite possibly one of the best coastlines on the planet. Autumn is a great time to visit, but beware . . you may not want to leave !

PR angle: As this region is mostly unknown on the international scene (except for diving), the best angle is its unspoilt environment. eg. "World famous diving, and much much more, on the 'Paradise Coast'or you could concentrate directly on the natural features: beaches, volcanos, islands, clear waters, fishing, diving, kayaking and surfing. eg.' A hundred beaches . . .' Sunken Volcanos and sandy shores . . .' Unbelievably unspoilt, and only 2 hours from Auckland . . .' Sea views & Sea food spectacular . . .

or you could use the kayaking as an angle from which to introduce / describe the area

Seasonal Point of Difference:

1. Autumn season Provides greater contrast in scenery2. Crisp, Fresh snow adorns the miles of mountain tops3. Experience a greater feeling of solitude & remoteness as fewer visitors in Milford Sound.

PR angle: Southern Alps Air was the first scenic flight operation in the Wanaka Region and has been operating since 1968. Origionallyaircraft were only based in Makaroa Valley (a 45 minute drive from Wanaka) until 2 years ago when the current owners made the decision to base aircraft in Wanaka as well. An suitable office & Booking Centre was secured in the Wanaka Town Centre and the Wanaka arm of the operation opened in November 2002. This differentiated the company from other Wanaka Scenic Flight Operators who only have offices at Wanaka Airport. The company is owned and operated by Paul & Anne Cooper who have a very interesting story to tell on how they came to be where they are today. **The geographic position of Wanaka in relation to Milford Sound means we have to fly through some spectacular scenery. many glaciers, Mt Aspiring and the Olivine Ice Plateau are only 3 of many. Comparisons with routes from other centres don't take in the highlights we do.

More experienced riders can take on a variety of trails meandering through woodlands or up and down very challenging tightly twisting trails to a full out gallop along the stopbanks, both shallow and deep water crossings (prepare to get wet!) depending on their level of experience. All riders can experience anything from 1 hour to a full day experience (includes a picnic lunch that is bought out to the riders) taking in the superb scenery of the braided river and surrounding forests, woodlands and open rural landscapes of the Waimakariri River with the Southern Alps as a back drop. All rides are followed or preceeded by an opportunity to pet and hand feed our friendly farm animals.Jet Trek - ride for a half hour (scenery will vary based on experience and speed) to the Jet boating landing point. Then experience a thrilling blast along the river with a Jet Stream Tours professional driver and return to your waiting horse for another half hour ride back to the trekking centre via a completely diferrent route. Wagon rides can cover most of the same trails as horse riding and can go with riders, either travelling on the river routes or through the St Helena Vineyard with optional stop for wine tasting. A wide range of ponies are available to suit most ages and unless experienced children are always lead.

Seasonal Point of Difference:

Twilight treks to watch the sunset through a blaze of Autumn tree colours and the sun setting behind the Southern Alps.

We created the worlds first Puzzle Centre where our staff not only demonstrate the puzzles but also help the customers to try them as well. The eccentricity of this attraction is so remarkable that many stories could be created.

Passengers can purchase a 12 month pass or alternatively any section separately. Stop-offs can be anywhere on request. The service is operated through a Trust that has been established by the Tourism Operators of the Region. It is therefor intimately associated with most of the Tourism Activities throughout the East Caope and Te Urewera Regions

Seasonal Point of Difference:

Half of the tour is by the sea. For those interested in fishing there are many opportunities of great sport as the weather is still settled and the seas generally calm. The other half of the tour is through the Te Urewera National Park including Lake Waikaremoana. This is at its best in Autumn as the weather is generally fine with cool crisp clear mornings that encourage the mist and mystique of Te Urewera.

PR angle: The advent of this Tour has been brought about by wishes of the Maori Community of Tairawhiti and Te Urewera. The whole Region is heavily Maori with many Marae and Cultural Activities. Most of the attractions and potential attractions of these two regions occur on Maori owned land. This is a Pan Tribal initiative with some 10 Iwi involved. The East Coast and Te Urewera Regions of the North Island are probably the least experienced by tourists. Visitor numbers are low and many of the experiences available are unique. Sea fishing (both coastal and deep water) is exceptional, with plentiful big game. Trout abound in the rivers and hunting experiences are offered in most places. Native Flora and Fauna is unspoiled and occupies most of the Region.
