Class NCCER SkillsUSAConstruction Technology is a three-year course designed to introduce students to various aspects of the construction industry. With a new curriculum in place, our students will learn about each stage of the construction process, from site layout, to foundations, to floor and wall systems, to roofing. Students will benefit from classroom instruction as well as receive hands-on training in these areas.

Students will gain a marketable skill which will make them appealing to future employers. They will also gain knowledge and skills that they can use for a lifetime even if they choose another career path.

Students enrolled in the Construction Technology class will also become a part of the SkillsUSA organization. SkillsUSA is a national career technical student organization which develops leadership and employability skills. Skills USA also allows students an opportunity to compete in their field at state and national levels. Students who compete and place could receive prizes and possibly scholarships. All students are encouraged to participate in SkillsUSA.
